DO YOU KNOW WHY THE CHRISTMAS ALPHABET

Do you know why the Christmas alphabet

Is one letter short? Then I will happily tell

There are only twenty-five letters in it

Because the Christmas alphabet has Noel

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – LAST VERMONT CHRISTMAS (2018)

The Marvin sisters, Megan (Erin Cahill) Bethany (Rachel Rhodes-Devey) and Audrey (Catherine Corcoran) gather for what they discover is to be their last Christmas at their childhood home, after their parents, Daniel and Peggy (Jim O'Hare and Ann Osmond), inform them that they are selling up and moving to Florida.

The decision is not received with universal acceptance, in fact Audrey for example recruits neighbour Brandon (Alan Pontes) to sabotage the sale, but things are further complicated when the buyer turns out to be Megan’s high school sweetheart Nash (Justin Bruening).

A nice story well-acted by an accomplished ensemble, though for me Samarah Conley as Megan’s daughter Ivy, steals the show.

An Avalanche of lava killed 150 people after the volcano Ruapehu erupted in New Zealand.

WHEN SANTA RETURNED HOME

When Santa returned home

To have his tea

His wife was there

Waiting apprehensively

“There was a phone call for you”

Said Mrs. C

“It was a little garbled

And made no sense to me

Something about Saville

And Operation Yewtree”

CHRISTMAS DAY JUST AFTER LUNCH

Christmas day just after Lunch

My family, being a fun loving bunch

Engage enthusiastically one and all

In parlour games to enthral

At first the alcohol fuelled the fun

And a good time was had by everyone

However as the day wore on

With all self-control long gone

The games degenerate into farce

As an opponent is knocked on his arse

And the afternoon ends in tears

As it has done across the years

And dad makes his annual decree

“Games are forthwith banned” said he

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A DOGGONE CHRISTMAS (2016)

The CIA are transporting a pint-sized Jack Russel Terrier with amazing telepathic abilities, to a military base, by train, under the watchful gaze of Agent Sheppard (Jaret Sacrey) and Dr. Langley (Dominique Swain), when he escapes from the Agents clutches.

Once he leaves the train in the mountains he immediately makes his way down to the valley below where he meets two brothers Ronnie and Hugo (Jonathan Tysor and Jayden Hedden) and their friends Jamie, Janelle and Issac (Walker Mintz, Jolie Ledford and Dilan Patton), and the youngsters fall in love with the dog at first sight, even before they know that he’s physic.

However the Government are not going to let their asset go without a fight so they despatch the no-nonsense Special Forces agent, Camilla Sharp (Lauren Parkinson), who will stop at nothing to retrieve the dog or make sure no one else does, and she has Helicopters, drones and hi-tech weapons at her disposal.

However, the friends, armed only with their wits, their bikes and a strong, newly formed bond with their cold-nosed friend 'Murphy', channel the real spirit of Christmas to try and save the dog and the day.

ON CHRISTMAS DAY 1950

The Coronation Stone, taken from Scone in Scotland by Edward I in 1296, was stolen from Westminster Abbey and smuggled back to Scotland.
