THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS WITH THE KNIGHTLYS (2023)

After being dumped by her boyfriend, Schoolteacher Georgia Jackson (Celeste Desjardins) puts all her efforts into putting on a Christmas showcase with her students.

However in the moments after finding out that her ex is engaged, millionaire playboy Chase Knightly (Joe Scarpellino), who had been hiding from the paparazzi in the community centre, suddenly appeared and pretended to be Georgia’s fiancé.

 

Although Georgia was grateful, she despised the Knightlys and Chase in particular but reluctantly agreed to pose as Chase’s girlfriend to improve his image for an upcoming merger in exchange for a new community centre.

 

Despite their best efforts they are unable to shake off the attentions of a cynical reporter called Randall (Roy Lewis), and in their efforts to evade him the barrier between them breaks down and romance blossoms, well it is Christmas after all. 

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – ENTERTAINING CHRISTMAS (2018)

 

TV personality, Liz Livingstone (Jane Moffat) is also a chef, recipe book author, expert crafter expert, and home and lifestyle guru, whose name is synonymous with perfection, but she announces her retirement, and her wish that her daughter Candace (Jodie Sweetin) will become the new face of the Livingstone brand.

The only fly in the ointment is that Candace isn’t her mother and has none of her talents.

 

When a young girl Harper Ryan (Ana Araujo) posts a video on the Livingston website asking for Liz’s help with a welcome home party for her father who is deployed overseas.

Candace has to go in her stead to prove herself worthy of succeeding her mother and she is well received by the family, and in particular the young girl's Uncle John (Brendan Fehr) who is a local reporter but is he looking for a story or romance.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A TIDY ROMANCE (2020)

Bethany Cain (Jill Wagner) is a talented interior designer based in Boulder and is on the cusp of making it big after the success of her recently released book.

Then a national home decor magazine wants to cover a makeover contest for their New Year edition, which will get her extra publicity, but she has only the three weeks before Christmas, to choose the winner, and complete the project.

 

Bethany receives a touching letter from thirteen-year-old Zoe Oliver (Lauren McNamara) who wants the makeover for her widowed father Grant Oliver (Victor Webster) and selects her as the winner.

However he is resistant because he and his wife Rebecca bought the house shortly before she passed and wants to preserve his memory of her in the house.

 

He eventually relents and agrees to do it for Zoe, but eventually resists all her suggestions, but Bethany is slowly able to break through the wall that Grant has erected around himself and make him open up to new ideas, and in the process Grant and Bethany start to fall for each other during the makeover but will he finally open his heart romantically to someone other than his wife Rebecca.

After unexpectedly being dumped by her boyfriend a few weeks before Christmas, successful tech-wizard Hannah Morris (Sarah Drew) returns to her hometown for the season, and her dad, Ted (Michael Gross) encourages her to sign up for the towns anonymous holiday pen-pal matchmaking event.

She is also reunited with  her high-school boyfriend Sam Watson (Niall Matter), whom she hadn’t seen for years.

As the season progresses, with each beautifully written letter she receives Hannah becomes smitten with her Pen Pal and starts to believe that they could be her soul mate.

Pen Pals must reveal their true identities on Christmas Eve, but when they come face-to-face will it work out as expected.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – DESTINED AT CHRISTMAS (2022)

 

Kim Fenech (Shae Robins) and Theo Hall (Casey Elliott) meet by chance on Black Friday in the queue for a toy store and there is a definite spark between them, but they get separated due to a power cut and the ensuing panic.

However neither of them can forget each other and try to locate the other with what little information they could remember from their conversations.

So can Christmas magic and destiny bring about a reunion.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE CHRISTMAS WISH (2019)

 

Peyton Canaday (Ashley Williams) works at the Canaday Inn in Birch Creek which is owned by her parents.

Also in town is Dr Ben Tyler (Paul Campbell) and they have known each other since childhood but parted ten years earlier after she had professed her romantic feelings for him.

Following his return to Birch Creek, they had avoided each other for the whole of the 12 months.

But with one week to go before Christmas, they are forced back together when their mutual friend, widowed Ford Sherman (Matt Hamilton), is hospitalized for a few days and needs someone to look after his daughter, Lily (Payton Lepinski).

So they embark on Lily’s list her mother's holiday traditions, and Peyton and Ben become friends once again but as he also helps her stage a prestigious at the Inn it becomes clear that there is a distinct possibility of more than friendship.
