Journalist Campbell Wallace (Jaicy Elliot) was raised in Dallas by her mother and stepfather, Sarah and Gary Wallace (Katie Hughey and Gralen Bryant Banks) and she took her stepfather’s surname and as her biological father Everett Bergeron (Bruce Campbell), abandoned the family when she was a child and resolved never to see him again.
However
one day out of the blue she is contacted by his current wife Jennifer (Moira
Kelly) who invites her to Sorrento, Louisiana where her father had turned his
life around and had been chosen to be that years Père Noel.
She
agrees after discovering that she had two half-sisters but only on the basis
that she meets him without revealing her identity.
As
she spends time with the Bergeron’s she begins to fall in love with them as a
family, and with Jackson Shepard (Ryan Rottman) the town archivist, who
encourages her to tell her father who she is, but she is afraid that he might
reject her a second time.
