Kallie Watts (Cami Carver) and her mum Rachel (Tatum Langton) have had to move to a new town just before Christmas following a fire at their old apartment building with what few possessions that survived the blaze.

As a result Kallie thinks she's hexed by a Christmas curse because for 5 consecutive Christmases’ something bad has happened in her life.

After she befriends her elderly neighbour Otto (Shawn Stevens) she finds mysterious gift on her doorstep with a note inside which refers to gift as “The Santa Box” and instructs her to choose a gift.

After she makes a request for a gift for her mother the box reappears, and she gets to choose again and because she keeps selecting gifts for other people the box appears again and the events that unfold will change the way Kallie feels about Christmas forever.
