THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – MEET ME UNDER THE MISTLETOE (2023)

 

Jeff Morgan (Simon Arblaster) is the reigning “Realtor of the Year” and is aiming for his fourth consecutive title, however he has stiff opposition from coworker Eva Rogers (Sarah Fisher) who is determined to steal his crown.

However the two bitter rivals are forced to work together to sell a special house, owned by a renowned botanist and mistletoe grower Kelly Greer (Jan Skene) and her husband Frank (Paul Essiembre), and they have to sell it before Christmas.

They are requested to work together because Eva is talented at selling properties quickly and Jeff is more experienced selling larger houses.

So suddenly instead of competing they have to collaborate which at times proves challenging, but as time goes by they learn that there is more to their relationship than being adversaries.

Just days before Christmas Santa Claus (Jim Broadbent) crash lands and his sleigh ends up in a tree and his reindeer are found running amok in the London streets and the next day a boy called Tom (Kit Connor) finds Santa hiding in the garden shed.

When Santa Claus is arrested and jailed for attempting to free the reindeer it’s up to Tom and his recently paroled father Steve (Rafe Spall) to literally pick up the reins and try to save Christmas before it's too late.

Lawrance Armanetti (Danny DeVito) owns a grand hotel in the Italian Dolomites where each year he hosts his extended family for Christmas, but he discovers that his daughter and son in law, Abbie and Jacob Randall (Lucy DeVito and Wilmer Valderrama) are separating.

His granddaughter Claire (Antonella Rose) on hearing the news believes that that’s years festive trip will be cancelled so she asks her parents to allow her to celebrate one last Christmas together reluctantly they agree despite the fact that it's only August.

Which gives Lawrance and Claire the chance to hatch a plan to get her warring parents back together.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE MAGICAL CHRISTMAS SHOE (2019)

 

Noelle (Erin Karpluk) receives another pair of shoes as a Christmas gift from her grandmother, as she does every year.

They are old shoes previously worn by her grandmother and Noelle believes that they played a crucial role in her grandparent’s love story and subsequent married life.

But her best friend Allison (Genelle Williams) believes them to be magical when a series of real-life events appear to be linked to the shoes, especially those in relation to John Reid (Damon Runyan).

Noelle however thinks it’s just luck or a lack of it and becomes frustrated with the whole Christmas season but in the end the magical shoes allow her to rediscover her Christmas spirit and find love as well.

After having her Christmas Song stolen by a big star, singer-songwriter, Abby (Mya Harrison) is persuaded by her unscrupulous agent Brenda (Sonia Dhillon Tully) to write jingles for commercials.

She was still doing it three years later and finding herself uninspired in the work she heads home for the holidays.

Her mother Cynthia (Shakura S'Aida) is the High School Principle and enlists Abby to assist the music teacher, Travis (Rainbow Sun Francks) with the Christmas Concert which in turn will help save the school arts program.

In the process, she rediscovers her confidence and her voice and open herself up to  the possibility of love.

Brian Ortega (Mario Lopez) is the beloved Mayor of the idyllic community of Long Grove and while he was listening to the choir at the high school he remembered where he hid his 4th grade wish list, and when he looked the list was still there and after putting it in the Santa post box at the school the wishes magically begin to come true.

At the same time his school crush Nina Madden (Courtney Lopez) arrives back in town to help her injured grandmother Rotha Madden (Josette DiCarlo) at her Inn and a stranger in town Kris Kringle (Brian McCartney) seems to be on hand with every wish.

While Brian and Nina try to save the town from developer Randall Withers (Corey Landis) they reconnect and discover new love.

Ivy Allen (Caprice Bourret) is a Christmas movie director for Holly Jolly TV who after another in a series of 'heartless' flops, decides to seek out her leading man Hunter Williams (Philip Boyd) from her debut hit movie “When you believe in Christmas”.

Unfortunately he left his acting career behind him and moved to Serbia with his wife and children where his wife passed away 5 years later.

When she tracks him down, he doesn’t want anything to do with his old life but despite that he shows her the wonders of a Serbian Christmas and they both find something precious that they weren’t expecting to find.
