THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – BETTING ON CHRISTMAS (2021)

 

Claire Rhodes (Laura Osnes) is an aspiring talent booker while working at her father, Tim Rhodes (Tom Butler) Lake Tahoe Hotel, and is on the verge of landing her dream job at a major music venue in Las Vegas, when her rock star ex-boyfriend Ryan Donaldson (Kyle Selig) checks into the Hotel.

He arrives at a bad time because she is struggling to replace her headline act for the Christmas Eve show, but far from being a distraction he works alongside her to help save the show.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – ONCE UPON A MAIN STREET (2020)

 

Amelia Lewis and Vic Manning (Vanessa Lachey and Ryan McPartlin) are competing against each other to purchase a commercial property in White Oak, Nevada, Amelia,  wants it so she can open a year-round Christmas store, whereas Vic, wants to open a chocolate shop.

Having no luck getting a decision from the real-estate agent they independently decide to consult with the property owner directly and discover that Elder Dubois (Patrick Duffy) lives just an hour away in Castle Creek.

They arrive independently but are together when they meet Elder, he tells them he is unable to make a snap decision.

Being recently widowed and estranged from his young-adult daughter Marjorie (Eva La Dare) and having the onerous task of chairing the Castle Creek Commercial Centre’s annual Christmas decorating competition.

It was clear to them both that his heart wasn’t in it, so they offer to take on the job in his place to ease his burden, in return, Elder invites them to stay in his home.

Their initial motive was to ingratiate themselves in order to get a favourable decision, and they doubted their resolve after meeting the needy Castle Creek merchants, however after they overcame their suspicions about each other, they grew to enjoy  working on the decorating together, and in the process, Amelia and Vic start to fall for each other.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CANDY COATED CHRISTMAS (2021)

 

Molly Gallant (Molly McCook) is a rich marketing executive from L.A. working for her father Fred Gallant (John McCook), however his company is threatened by foreclosure just at the moment when she needs capital to start a new business with her friend Gracie Park (Jae Suh Park).

So, she heads the small town of Peppermint Hollow during the Christmas season to arrange for the sale of the house her mother left to her in her will to oversee the selling of the house instead of going to Hawaii as she had planned.

The house is rented out and the tenants are her mother’s best friend Kim Winters (Lee Garlington), her son Noah (Aaron O'Connell) and his niece Dakota (Landry Townsend).

They believe Molly id there because they are behind with the rent due to the mint plantation they run is struggling after their biggest customer went out of business.

Although her intention was to evict them, the longer she spent with them the harder that prospect became and then to complicate matters she begins to fall for Noah and her for her.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – DESIGNING CHRISTMAS (2022)

 

Stella Murphy and Pablo Belmonte (Jessica Szohr and Marco Grazzini) have worked for six years as co-hosts on a house make-over show, House Sweet Home, Stella as designer and Pablo as contractor, and the bicker on and off screen like a married couple, even though they are only friends.

However, at Thanksgiving they discover their highest rated show of the year is in jeopardy as the homeowners pull out.

the show's producer Zoe (Nicole Power) convinces Stella and her fiancé Jack Hall (Mykee Selkin) to be the homeowners for the episode, as well as holding their wedding in the completed house after the home reveal on Christmas Eve.

Under the unfamiliar pressure of renovating her own home and having to work more closely with Pablo than usual makes her reassess her choices.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS MATCHMAKERS (2019)

 

Jen (Anna Marie Dobbins) and Jon (Andrew Rogers) are both executive assistants for very demanding bosses, Jen works for Kate (Vivica A. Fox) while Jon works for Owen (Dorian Gregory).

As they both have plans for Christmas which they are going to miss out on, they decide their only hope is to get their respective bosses to fall in love with each other, what they didn’t bargain on however was falling in love themselves.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS, UNFILTERED (2022)

Becky (Alison Fernandez) is the middle child of three, sharing a room with younger sister Taylor (Raina Grey) and is looking forward to getting her own room when older sister Olivia (Taylor Castro) goes to college.

Becky feels like no one in her family really knows who she is or even listens to her  so she makes a wish on Christmas Eve that her family would truly hear her.

When she wakes up on Christmas morning all of her normal inside thoughts and frustrations are still there, but they inadvertently begin to spill out and she starts telling everyone what she really thinks which does not go down well, even though most of them needed to be said.

The only one she can confide in is her best friend and wannabe boyfriend Matt (Gavin Bedall) but all she can hope for is not being too honest before the wish wears off.

Eventually, when the dust settles, her family do hear her and Becky hears them, and Becky’s uncontrollable honesty brings everyone closer together.
