THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HOTEL NAVIDAD (2019)

 

Windsor Hotel Chain Manager Erin (Tatyana Ali) is sent back to Garland Grove, her hometown, to oversee the completion of a new Hotel, which the townspeople are less than thrilled about, and her reward for making peace with the townsfolk is the Managership of the Windsor in Rome.

When she arrives in town, she discovers that her girlhood crush Connor (Sean Patrick Thomas) is the leader of the opposition but even her chemistry with him isn’t enough to sway them, but her decision to turn the Windsor into an all-year-round Christmas Hotel  magically gets them on board.

After her workaholic boyfriend Dean (Anthony Carro) cancelled their Hawaiian vacation so he could go on a business trip, Ava (Anna Marie Dobbins) decides to go on vacation on her own.

Meanwhile in Tinsel, California widowed Mason (Marc Herrmann) and his daughter, Mia (Rylie Coe), are preparing for Christmas alone.

Mia however wants two things for Christmas, a puppy, and to find someone for her Dad.

So, behind her Dad’s back she advertises their guesthouse on a Holiday Home Rental website and Ava books it.

Shortly after arriving, she realizes that the Mason isn’t expecting her so offers to go to a hotel instead, but Mason and Mia convince her to stay and the three of them have a wonderful Christmas.

Retired dancer Natalia Haddad (Jamie Gray Hyder), and would be principle choreographer at the Richmond ballet company, takes local salsa dance instructor Viviana Serrano (Laura Rosguer) under her wing as the Company begin rehearsals for the Nutcracker after Vivi failed to get the coveted role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

At the same time Natalia becomes romantically involved with theatre electrician Mateo (Ektor Rivera) while Viviana finds herself falling for Justin Ortiz (Jaelin Taylor) while they all strive to create a surprise reprise of the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” with a very definite Puerto Rican twist.

Amongst all her many good works, former Marine Chloe Marquee (Jana Kramer) works as an Army Counsellor helping returning soldiers who need help adapting back into civilian life.

Her latest assignment, as Christmas approaches, is Michael Fischer (Brandon Quinn) who  swept her off her feet as they work together on a toy drive.

It’s a touching story and a movie you will want to watch more than once.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A VERY MERRY BRIDESMAID (2021)

 

Having a birthday on Christmas Eve has meant that is has always been overshadowed by Christmas so for Leah Taylor (Emily Osment) her milestone 30th birthday was going to be no different, in fact as her brother Tom (Mike Dopud) was getting married that day as well so her birthday would be even more obscured as she was a bridesmaid.

On the plus side she is reunited with her brother's best friend since childhood, Drew Vaughn (Casey Deidrick), Tom’s best man and Leah’s girlhood crush.

Amidst all the wedding hustle they spend a lot of time together as they deal with all the obstacles before them as the day approaches, more time than they really need to as a romance develops between them.

She always puts her family first, but he is determined to make sure her birthday does not go by the wayside and will make it special for her.
