Two very successful rival weather presenters, Tara and Sam (Anjali Khurana and Landon Moss) apply for a prestigious new job in Washington, and they are both invited for interview at short notice before Christmas.

Due to the time of year and the weather, they are unable to book a flight or get a train ticket so they both decide to drive, but they only get as far the small town of Mistletoe, and they get trapped in the “town that Christmas forgot”.

While they are trapped, they must both create a promo weather report as an audition piece in order to get their dream job.

However, they get side tracked into trying to bring Christmas back to the town and soon stopped seeing one another as the competition.

Hollywood star Alyssa Strader (Trish Stratus) returns incognito to her small hometown of Rockwell with a to do list of Christmas activities she remembers from her childhood, without the approval of her manager/mother Jenny Strader (Sherry Miller).

She is soon recognized by Jake Wells (Stephen Huszar) who is putting on a special 25th anniversary showing of “Holly's Puppy Christmas” which was Alyssa’s first movie and was filmed in Rockwell and they hadn’t met since the filming of the movie when he had a bit part as Elf #7, when he had a crush on her.

He helps to keep her identity a secret while ticking off some of her to do list and his crush is still evident, but will she reciprocate?

It also gave her the chance to reconnect with her best friend Felicity Rockitt (Meg Biddle Smith) and through Felicity she meets her travel journalist brother Asher St. James (Chris Connell) who helps her reconnect with her roots and shows her what’s really important.
