THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – FEAST OF THE SEVEN FISHES (2019)

 

The story is set in December 1983 where the Oliverio family readies their Feast of the Seven Fishes, a tradition from the old country, and Christmas is a very noisy boisterous affair.

One of the younger members of the family is Tony Oliverio (Skyler Gisondo), a young man with big dreams and an even bigger heart, who wonders if he'll find love this Christmas season or spend it alone with his loud but loving family.

But then the girlfriend of his best friend Angelo (Andrew Schulz) called Sarah (Jess Darrow), introduces Tony to privately educated Beth (Madison Iseman), so his Christmas takes a distinct turn for the better.

 

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – COLORADO CHRISTMAS (2023)

Single mom Melody Miller (Luba Bocian) is raising her precocious daughter Katie (Tierney Hickey) on her own, has to give up her dream job as a public-school music teacher to work as a home health care worker.

One of Melody's clients, Major Cole (Paul Anthony McLean), has a stroke, and his son John (Brit Ellerman), who is country-music superstar “Johnny Colorado”, hurries home.

With Melody's help, Major's health improves, and a romance develops between Melody and John.

Riley Vance (Shenae Grimes-Beech) lands herself a prime new job albeit because of a case of mistaken identity.

The position is as personal assistant to William Young (Steve Lund), who recently inherited his father's prestige company.

Her first task is to convince him to visit the company’s flagship toy factory that he is under pressure from the board to close, so Riley suggests he visits the town to evaluate the plant and people.

As they work closely together, she helps to rekindle his long-dormant Christmas spirit and make a place in his heart.

In the midst of the depression, William Kamp (Brian Krause) and his family are struggling to get by, especially in the aftermath of his wife’s untimely death.

Eldest son Warren (James Gaisford) wants to work at the local garage to help out financially, but his father is too proud to let him, his sister Verna (Danielle C. Ryan) wants to go to college but as the oldest girl she had to take on the roll as matriarch after her mother’s death.

Middle child Russel (Ethan Hunt) has to do his share of the chores, Tom boy Ruthie (Ruby Jones) has to wear her sibling’s hand-me-downs but has a constant companion in her dog Violet but bonds with new schoolteacher Miss Mayfield (Heather Beers) and Norman (Jacob Buster) battles with the effects of polio and falls in love with a horse belonging to their surly neighbour Mrs. Rathbone (Nancy Stafford).

The children all expect another Christmas without gifts or festivities but out of the blue their father surprises them with one dollar in change and lets the children use it to buy special gifts for each other.

Two estranged brothers, Maclain and Jake Bernard (Maclain Nelson and Jake Van Wagoner) have been estranged for 15 years since their parents were killed in a car crash at Christmas, so Maclain’s wife Clare (Clare Niederpruem) tries to get them to try and reconnect that Christmas.

He is reluctant because Jake disappeared suddenly and left Maclain to handle all the funeral arrangements and had been haunted by dreams ever since, but more than any other reason he can’t get past the fact that Jake thinks he's a time traveller.
