THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – K-9 ADVENTURE : LEGEND OF THE LOST GOLD (2014)

 

Widowed Paul Stevenson (Luke Perry) became bank manager in the  winter resort town of Heber Valley, Utah, and lived with his two daughters, Esther and Kassie (Camrey Bagley Fox and Ariana Bagley) sixteen and eleven years old respectively.

In the year since the move Kassie has made a lot of friends and expresses her passion for music and singing with the church choir, and when Pastor Bailey (Adam Johnson) tells her the tale of John Garrison and shows her an old pocket watch the adventure begins.

And it’s that old, broken pocket watch that leads her, her dog Scoot and friends to unlock the secret of the legendary Garrison Gold, ahead of criminals Clint and Brandy (Bob Clendenin and Renny Grames) and finding the treasure would save the shelter for the Pastor in time for Christmas.

After a chaotic pre-Christmas period with her special-needs brother Mark (Luke Davis) and her Dad’s sex worker “Girlfriend” Christmas itself ends in tragedy and when her estranged mom (Caroline Aaron) turns up out of the blue Michelle ultimately makes a life-changing decision regarding the future with her siblings.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A CHRISTMOOSE STORY (2005)

Bertil Wagner (Raban Bieling) is very sad since his father left and spends much of his time in the shed at the family home, he shares with his mother Kirsten (Anja Kling) and sister Kiki (Sarah Beck).

Then one day just before Christmas a large moose crashes through the roof of the shed who goes by the name of Mr Moose (Voiced by Armin Rohde) who had been out on a test flight with Santa Claus (Mario Adorf) when they had a crash.

The children are very excited to have a talking Moose as a domestic pet, and even their mother Kirsten is happy to have him around but when his Grandmother (Monika Hansen) arrives at the house with a disgruntled Santa Claus.

But after Santa is arrested trying to get the star dust back from their crazy neighbour Pannecke (Jürgen Tarrach) they must retrieve the star dust and rescue Santa from the Asylum before the festive season starts and Christmas can be saved.

Just before Christmas Kate Frazier (Kelly Macdonald) leaves her abusive husband Michael (Bobby Cannavale) and moves to Chicago to start a new life.

Then she meets a quiet man, Frank Logan (Michael Keaton) who helps her when she is struggling with a Christmas Tree and on Christmas Eve, she returns the favour when she takes him to the ER after he collapses outside her building, after which they become friends while she is being courted by police detective Dave Murcheson (Tom Bastounes).

Everything changes when Kate’s husband tracks her down and it turns out that Frank is a professional killer, and detective Murcheson is investigating him, and then Michael ends up dead.
