THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS OF YES (2023)

 

Workaholic, Amy Bell (Michele Weaver) has no time for anything other than her job and her hobby, roasting her own coffee, and says no to anything else.

But in the run up to Christmas her world falls apart when she loses her job, but her brother Phil (Ian Collins) sees it as a way to get her out of the rut she was in convinces her, while she’s jobless, to promise to say “yes” to things she previously said “no” to. until Christmas.

As a result she is pulled onto the stage at an improvisational theatre performance by Nico (Jeff Pierre), one of the performers.

Then afterward, because she can't say no, she becomes enlisted into Nico’s charity activity wrapping Christmas presents and as she and Nico get to know each other and realize that there is common ground between them, and she finds she doesn’t want to say no.

Malik Watkins (Jared Gray) is expecting to spend Christmas at home in Atlanta with his uptight girlfriend Chelsea (Desiree French) because her parents are visiting for the holidays.

However when they cancel at the last minute, they decide to spend Christmas with his family in Houston instead.

When Chelsea meets his family, they make no secret of the fact that they disapprove of her and think her unsuitable.

Then he meets Grandpa James Watkins Sr (Joseph D Mason) nurse Rain (Cariella Smith) and the family love her.

So will he realize the true meaning of love and get the perfect gift for Christmas?

After relationship writer Cara (Taylor Cole) is dumped by her boyfriend on New Years Eve she decides to give up on dating.

Her boss Diane (Kristen Harris) encourages her to write about it, so she books a last-minute Ski Trip for her and her and her best friend Megan (Rukiya Bernard) hoping it will spark inspiration for the piece.

Her plan is complicated however when upon arrival they discover their chalet is double booked so they have to share with two men Ben and Sean (Jack Turner and Dewshane Williams).

Then the snowstorm hits and the foursome get snowed in, and Cara and Ben are thrown together.

So will her dating embargo survive the snowbound weekend?

All three girls have baggage; Charlotte is trying to reconnect with her birth mother and deal with unresolved feelings for lifelong friend Liam (Wes Brown).

Emily and her husband Paul (Ryan Sands) are dealing with time consuming careers and a desire to start a family, and Nora is emotionally and professionally rudderless but until she meets

Maizy (Lyndie Greenwood).

As the sisters search for clues on the scavenger hunt the bond between them is rekindled, but will that be enough to help them deal with their other issues.
