THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – TRIVIA AT ST. NICK'S (2024)

 

Its Christmas at Hampstead University in Vermont and when all the students have left for winter break the faculty and the locals have only one thing on their minds, the annual Christmas Trivia Tournament at Nick’s Bar.

No one loves the tournament more than Astronomy Professor Celeste (Tammin Sursok) who thinks that her team, The Quizmas Elves, has a real chance of winning this year as she had persuaded and ex Jeopardy! winner Math professor Richard (Denis Ooi) to join the team.

The other 5 members were, Celeste, her best friend Ashley (Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone) her husband Freddie (Ari Brand), her mother Sherry (Elizabeth Keifer, and History Professor Gary (Willie C. Carpenter).

However, on the evening of the sign-up Richard drops out leaving them one player short and they need 6 to compete.

So, she has no alternative but to accept the new offensive coach, Max.

But he has a winning mentality but with a more relaxed attitude and brings a different dynamic to the team and Celeste sees a different side to him and the two of them start to fall for each other.

So will the team triumph in the trivia tournament and will they have a happy-ever-after.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – TIME FOR ME TO COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS (2018)

Since her mother's passing Cara Hill (Megan Park) faces a bittersweet Christmas as she sets off to fly home to Oklahoma.

At the airport she meets country singer Heath Sawyer (Josh Henderson), who is also facing a tough holiday following his father's death, but he doesn't acknowledge his fame, so Cara feels duped when two attractive women rush him for autographs.

Although the weather keeps thwarting their progress, Cara and Heath stick together as they head toward their separate Christmases together, and they grow close along the way.

But there is more than weather to contend with, and it looks like it might take a Christmas miracle for this couple to find harmony.

The Three Doggateers, Arfamis (Jesse Baget), Barkos (Jesse Baget) and Wagos (Danielle Judovits) are left on their own a few days before Christmas, when their master Matt (Dean Cain) is called away for work.

When a couple of burglars (Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman) make off with all of the family's presents and decorations, adventure-loving Arfamis, leads chronically hungry Barkos, and the pampered purebred Wagos on a mission to sniff out the bad guys, avoiding angry humans and a crazy dog catcher Barney Gloat (Bill Oberst Jr.) along the way.

So, can they save Christmas or will they need a little help from Santa Claus (Richard Riehle)?

Marketing executive Olivia (Danielle Scott) quit her job before she burned-out and rented a rural cabin and moved in with her cheeky Shih Tzu, Milo.

Also on the same park, Theo (Stephen Staley), a novelist with writer’s block, lived with a Husky called Lucy.

One day they meet in the park and Milo and Lucy fall victim to puppy love, however for Olivia and Theo it is a slower process, but eventually they fall.

It comes to a halt when she is offered a job in London and they have a falling out, so it’s up to the dogs to plot to keep them together along with “Dog Whisperer” Maisie (Kitty Sudbery) to remind them that the right companion in your life whether two-legged or four changes everything.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HAPPY HOWLIDAYS (2024)

 

Mia Park (Jessica Lowndes) works for the Seattle Tourism Board as a webpage editor and was expecting to spend Christmas alone, when on one rainy night she encounters a stray dog and takes him in for the night.

Living alone and being unaccustomed to having a dog in the house she decides to take the dog to a shelter where she met Max Covington (Ezra Moreland) the belligerent manager and his much more reasonable sister Penny (Cassandra Sawtell) and leaves with the dog which she names Russell.

They have another encounter in the park later with his own dog which has been sickening and it’s another caustic exchange between them but the dog’s bond instantly.

Ater that meeting his own dog rallied so Mia agrees to let Max's ailing dog find solace with Russell, in exchange for Max showing her the hidden gems of Seattle which she filmed and posted on the tourism board website.

Through their journey together, they reveal the skeletons in their respective closets and discover new possibilities and a meaningful connection.

However, things are thrown up in the air with the arrival of her parents Jim and Cindy (Christopher Shyer and Lynda Boyd) from Florida and his ex-girlfriend Amy (Ella Cannon) from LA threatens to derail their burgeoning relationship.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – FOLLOWING YONDER STAR (2024)

 

Former TV star, well known for starring as an inspirational mother in “Guiding Grace”, Abby (Brooke D'Orsay), finds out that her ex-husband Julian (Adam Hurtig), with whom she hoped to reconcile, was remarrying and his fiancé was pregnant, despite hm always saying he didn’t want children.

She was in a Christmas store at the time and was recognised by an insistent clerk who became very aggressive with her and then her vociferous response was recorded, uploaded and went viral.

This now threw into doubt a role she had previously been offered so she retreats to a luxury Vermont resort hotel for Christmas only to find she had reserved a room for the following Christmas in error.

There were no vacancies anywhere due to a rare astronomical event due to occur on Christmas Eve, when a beautiful star likened to the Star of Bethlehem would appear.

Thanks to hotel receptionist Clara (Melissa Murray-Mutch) she finds a room at a quaint B&B, owned by high school astronomy teacher Nick (John Brotherton), who took on the Inn after his wife's passing, along with directing the local church's Christmas pageant.

Abby offers to help with directing the pageant and bonds with his daughter Lucy (Isla Verot) and while helping with several other activities in the community and around the inn she finds herself enjoying both the projects and Nick's company and even wins over his overprotective sister-in-law Zoey (Amanda Austin).

So, with this newfound community, family and love, will Abby discover that her heart and purpose, has a new home.
