THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS BY CHANCE (2020)

 

Chance Hazelton (Winny Clarke) owns a struggling gift shop called “Gifts by Chance” which is on the verge of failure until her part time employee and full-time friend Becky (Celine Tsai) reinvents the business on social media.

Which leads to personal assistant Ryan (Sharjil Rasool) inadvertently leading his employer, wealthy and popular entrepreneur William Richards (Jacob Blair), to Chance’s door.

As a result William hires her to help him organize the perfect romantic proposal for his girlfriend Leyla Brooks (Celeste Desjardins).

As they spend time together trying to devise the perfect proposal, it becomes evident that he has less in common with Leyla than he believed and as she doesn’t seem they are on the same page relationship wise.

As Chance and William get to know each other it becomes apparent they are the more likely candidates for marriage.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS ANGEL (2015)

 

Susan Nicholas (Jennifer Finnigan) is a copy editor for a New York Newspaper, but she really wants to be a writer but is continually being knocked back.

But she is given an assignment just before Christmas to write a seasonal piece for the Christmas edition of the paper, the only problem is that she is a sceptic when it comes to Christmas.

But she is inspired to write an article about her family's much-storied heirloom, a Christmas angel, which was hand carved by her great Grandfather.

It has supposedly been instrumental in bring several generations of her forebears together, but Susan is a cynic about that as well.

But despite her cynicism the angel leads her to an accidental meeting with Brady (Jonathan Scarfe), a cute, upbeat artist who with the help of the angel, whisks Susan the grinch into a holiday-time friendship and hopefully more, if the hand-carved angel, with the reputation to bring people together, work its magic on the sceptical Susan as it moves her closer to Brady.

This is a really lovely Christmas story and quite magical even if the hand carved angel is really rather ugly.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS PRINCESS (2017)

Christmas Princess is a heart-warming story inspired by true events.

In the approach to Christmas in Southern California high school girl Donaly Marquez (Nicole Muñoz) wants to become one of the elite princesses in the world-renowned Royal Court of the Tournament of Rose Parade.

She has to show her bravery to overcome her difficult and traumatic past with her addict mother and time spent in the foster system but has the support of her siblings, Emily (Olivia Steele Falconer) and Abraham (Jaedon Siewert), and her adoptive parents, Ignacio (Zak Santiago) and Sara (Rosa Blasi).

The prize is ride on the float in the parade on New Years Day. 

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS IN CAROLINA (2020)

 

Elle Moore (Joslyn Y Hall) is a selfish, unpleasant and hard to please career-driven investment banker and a hard to please date who has just about given up on love and Christmas.

Her latest lunch date is Wesley Saxon (David L. Rowell) and he survives the date relatively unscathed and another date follows.

Eventually he invites her to spend Christmas with his parents in his hometown in South Carolina and while they are there she falls in love and rediscovers the spirit of Christmas.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – MEETING MR. CHRISTMAS (2022)

Sophie Montgomery (Greta Carew-Johns) is a popular travel blogger who’s “Solo Travel” blog has a huge following as does her negative Christmas viewpoint.

After being given her Christmas assignment she receives a phone call from her sister Maggie (Laura Mitchell) to say her mum Helen (Eileen Pedde) had fallen off the ladder while decorating the house and Sophie needed to return home to Willowbrook help organize the annual charity event at the family restaurant.

Home and Christmas filled her with dread because she had been jilted just a few hours before the wedding on Christmas Eve, which led to her solo travelling.

When she is home, she finds herself teamed up with the “Christmas loving” town doctor, Finn Miller (Madison Ryne Smith) to work on the event.

Slowly the man she nicknamed “Mr Christmas” wears her down with his infectious enthusiasm for all things Christmas and melts her heart along the way. 

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – MISS ME THIS CHRISTMAS (2017)

 

Music executives Regina Young and Franklin Young (Erica Ash and Redaric Williams) were married at the iconic Chesterton Hotel on Christmas Day and neither of them anticipated a time when they would also be finalizing their divorce on Christmas Day.

Neither of them really wanted the marriage to end but were powerless to get out of the mess they had got themselves into.

Regina returns to the Chesterton Hotel which is owned and run by her best friend Trish McDonald (Eva Marcille).

While she’s there she meets an eccentric millionaire Ulysses Danbert (Allen Maldonado) who shows his affection towards her which forces Regina to focus on what’s important in her life.
