THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – SNOW FOOLIN' (1949)

 

“Snow Foolin'” is an animated tale about the onset of winter and how the assorted animals prepare for winter and don their winter coats.

As they enjoy a variety of winter sports, a hen invites the audience to follow her sing along to Jingle Bells with a bouncing egg highlighting the lyrics and a turtle serves hot coffee to a bird on her nest.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS COMES (1936)

“Christmas Comes” is an animated tale about an orphanage where the children at the orphanage are thrilled to wake up and find new toys in their stockings on Christmas morning, but one by one the toys break and the children go back to bed crying.

Fortunately, an inventor, Professor Grampy, is passing by on his motorized sled and hears the children crying.

So, he sneaks in through the kitchen window and uses every pot, pan, and utensil and builds better toys than they could have dreamed of and gives them a merry Christmas.

“Somewhere in Dreamland” is an animated tale about a poor young brother and sister who gather firewood in the snow outside of merchant shops for their poor mother.

After a supper of dry bread their mother sends them to bed where they fall asleep and dream of a fantasy land filled with ice cream cones, fields of popcorn, and a river of chocolate syrup.

They are disappointed when they wake up next morning to find it was a dream, but then they discover that her mother is not alone as three of the merchants they passed on their way home the night before having provided them with a sumptuous feast.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – I LOVE CHRISTMAS PARTIES (2020)

 

A young recently separated small-town girl Emily Lanes (Miranda Sanborn) leaves the city returns to her home for the first time since her sister's death to visit her childhood friends, brother-in-law Sean Hill (Stephen Krist), and his housemates, student Trevor Wilson and reluctant restauranteur Ally Faulkner (Bailey Knut and Alayna Crews).

She arrives amidst preparations for the annual Christmas party which are not going well, and they soon get worse and after angry words are exchanged and she storms out,

However, an unexpected gift appears on the doorstep, so she goes back to help her friends solve the Christmas mystery of the box containing $111,111.11 and an anonymous note.

But first they need to deal with an unwanted visitor Jake the Snake (Ethan Sox) before the party guests arrive, and as he has overstayed his welcome, so the group comes together to get him out as they have more important things to deal with.

One of which is a reconciliation for Emily and her husband Eric (Tyler Kreiner), another is the decision of what to do with the mystery money and there are revelations, Sean is selling the house and moving to Seattle with his girlfriend Lilly (Janelle Krist), Ally gets her dream wish and Trevor makes a decision on his future.

And there are surprises all round when the mystery giver is revealed.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – RED CHRISTMAS (2016)

 

Diane (Dee Wallace) is hosting Christmas in the family home in Australia for her estranged and dysfunctional family and as expected it’s a chaotic holiday gathering.

But then an unexpected guest comes knocking on the door, in the form of Cletus (Sam Campbell) the ghost of Christmas past.

Dianes past literally comes to haunt her and reminds her of a 20-year-old decision, and they invite him in inside the family estate and then the killing starts.

The stranger is revealed to be Diane's aborted foetus, very much alive and ready for vengeance and is prepared to kill them all, especially Jerry (Gerard O'Dwyer), her Down Syndrome son and Diane must somehow end the killing.

 

Geoff Morrell, David Collins, Sarah Bishop, Janis McGavin and Alistair Bates also star.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE GIFT THAT GIVES (2024)

 

Author Callum Mori (Takaya Honda) is promoting his first book, The Gift That Gives, and is making his first television appearance.

He is a guest on “The Arts Corner” television show, hosted by Kate Sedgeman (Lily Brown-Griffiths).

During their short interaction, Kate falls for him, however Callum falls for her best friend and bookshop owner, Linda Young (HaiHa Le), when Callum is launching his book at her store.

Luckily for Kate, Callum has brother, Austin (Damien Sato), and fate brings them together over some mysterious hidden love letters, signed with pet names.

The four of them join forces to find out who penned them and they all get a Christmas surprise.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – BEETHOVEN'S CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE (2011)

 

Just before Christmas an Elf (Ryan Miller), accidentally takes off in Santa's sleigh after which unable to control it, crashes in a small town and loses the magic toy sack which ends up in the hand’s greedy crooks.

So, it’s up to the beloved St. Bernard, Beethoven, voiced by Tom Arnold, to rescue the Elf from a tree, recover the bag from the thieves, and return the bag and the sleigh to Santa in time to save Christmas.

The tale is Narrated by John Cleese.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS (1984)

 

A Christmas tale of a young boy Simon (Emeric Chapuis) who tells Santa the only thing he wants for Christmas are his parents, (Hélène Ruby and Jean-Louis Foulquier) who mysteriously vanished during an African expedition.

After a school trip to the airport Simon and his friend Elodie (Alexia Haudot) end up on a flight to Lapland where they meet Santa (Armand Meffre) and the Good Fairy (Karen Chéryl), but will they be able to help find his parents.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A COSMIC CHRISTMAS (1977)

 

“A Cosmic Christmas” is an animated tale about three aliens who come to Earth to discover the true meaning of Christmas.

A little boy named Peter explains what he believes it to be and shows them around, but commercialism and greed seem to contradict his explanation of the meaning of Christmas.

He takes them to his parents’ house so his parents can explain but then Peter's pet goose is kidnapped and a chase ensues but then the thief and Peter fall through the ice and an exciting rescue is needed and it results in a new sense of caring and sharing as the town rediscovers the real spirit of Christmas, and the three visitors from outer space discover the true meaning of Christmas.
