“Somewhere in Dreamland” is an animated
tale about a poor young brother and sister who gather firewood in the snow
outside of merchant shops for their poor mother.
After
a supper of dry bread their mother sends them to bed where they fall asleep and
dream of a fantasy land filled with ice cream cones, fields of popcorn, and a
river of chocolate syrup.
They
are disappointed when they wake up next morning to find it was a dream, but
then they discover that her mother is not alone as three of the merchants they
passed on their way home the night before having provided them with a sumptuous
feast.
Voiced
by Mae Questel and Gus Wicke.
