THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – NANTUCKET NOEL (2021)

 

During the Seaside Noel celebrations Christina Antonioni (Sarah Power) finds out about a developer Oscar Bittlesman (Bruce Dawson) planning to tear down the historic wharf that’s home to her toy store in Nantucket.

In the week before Christmas she catches a girl, Wink Bittlesman (Payton Lepinski), stealing a toy mermaid while her commercial realtor father Andy Bittlesman (Trevor Donovan) is distracted on the phone.

As a result of her acting out Andy agrees to let Wink help out at the toy store to make up for the shoplifting and he and Christina connected, however that may not be enough once she finds out that it’s his father behind the redevelopment.

A romantic comedy about a New York socialite Emmy (Poppy Montgomery) who fakes her identity in order to get her book published and all is going well until her publisher Ellison London (Jeanette Cronin) and her son Jack London (Darren McMullen) want to visit their “Australian” author in her own home.

So Emmy is forced to rush back to Australia to her dead mother's farm and start living her fake life.

But there is a surprise ending that even she couldn’t have written.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – SNOWGLOBE CHRISTMAS (2011)

 

In the town of Normal, Alaska, the Miller family are preparing for Christmas, and all seems normal, less snow than they would have expected but the town is decorated for the season.

John Miller (David Cubitt) is collecting the presents that his helicopter pilot wife Beth (Laura Harris) needs to deliver to the outlying settlements and their children Jennifer and Rudy (Magda Apanowicz and Dylan Matzke) are ready to enjoy the holidays.

Then a package, wrapped like a Christmas gift, appears on their doorstep from an unknown sender, which contains a snow globe.

So they give the globe to Rudy but it soon turns out to be a mystical object which when shaken inflicts natural disaster on the town, so they have to figure out how to destroy the snow globe before it destroys the town.

Megan (Laura Vandervoort) was supposed to marry this Christmas, but her long-time boyfriend broke it off in the summer so instead of looking forward to Christmas it just reminded her of her failed relationship.

At the diner where she work's she became friends with long-time customer Frank Emory (Harry Lennix), an old man.

One day Frank shows Megan an old photo of himself and his first love, Claire (Liza Huget), so she suggests they on a road trip to find his long-lost love and keep her mind off Christmas.

When they reach a town where Megan thinks Claire could be they stay at a small inn owned by Steve Swanson (Niall Matter).

In no time at all she starts to help Steve out with small tasks as she starts to really like the small town, and she realises she has found love again.

Planning on spending Christmas at home, Cartographer Emilia Martin (Humberly González) gets a last-minute assignment just before Christmas from her boss Horace Latimer (Michael Gordin Shore), to design a novelty treasure map of the North Pole for children.

As she always likes to include as much factual information in her maps as possible, she is advised to collaborate with a famous photographer and explorer Drew Campbell (Ronnie Rowe) who has firsthand experience of the North Pole.

It is clear from the outset that they are mismatched in their approach which brings a level of tension between them but as they start to work  together something other than tension develops between them.
