Maria (Jessica Camacho) is a chef who dreams of
having her own food trucks, but lacks the finances to fulfill them, to make matters worse she
loses her
job as a sous chef.
With
no family of her own she
lives with her best friend
Brooklyn (Luisa d'Oliveira) who
she thinks of as a sister.
While
she
tries to get jobs as a chef, she has to rely heavily on working as a ride-share driver.
Just
before Christmas she gets a job to drive the hotshot lawyer Julian (Adam Rodriguez) the 100 miles his family home
in Briar Ridge for the holidays.
Upon
their arrival the family mistakenly assume Maria is his girlfriend and as he
wanted to impress them, so he asks her to pose as his girlfriend and as compensation he
promises to help her start her food truck business.
She
agrees, but
things get complicated as real sparks begin to fly between them and it turns out that both of them get more than they bargained for.
