The
story of life in Toyland is introduced in song by Mother Goose (Virginia Karns).
Stannie
Dum (Stan Laurel) and Ollie Dee (Oliver Hardy) live with Widow Peep (Florence
Roberts) who can’t afford to pay the mortgage and the evil Silas Barnaby (Henry
Brandon) is threatening to have them all thrown out if Little Bo Peep (Charlotte
Henry) doesn’t marry him, but she has given her heart to Tom-Tom (Felix Knight).
Ollie
Dee and Stanley Dum try to borrow money from their employer, the toymaker (William
Burress) without success so they trick Barnaby into marrying Stanley Dum
instead of Bo Peep, Barnaby is so enraged he unleashes the bogeymen from their
caverns to destroy Toyland.
So,
it’s up to Ollie Dee, Stannie Dum, the other Towns People and the Toy Soldiers
o defeat them.
