“The Night Before Christmas” is a delightful, animated tale about the
fictionalized account of how Clement C. Moore came to write “A Visit from St.
Nicholas,”
When
Professor Moore (Olan Soule) returns from a lecture to find his young daughter
Charity, stricken with pneumonia.
The
last thing she asked him for when he left home was a book about Santa Claus for
Christmas, but he was unable to find one, and everyone told him that no such
story had been written.
So,
as he sat at his child’s bedside while she burned up with fever he wrote his
famous poem.
Which
in the story, is set to music by Ken Darby and sung by The Norman Luboff Choir.
