THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – WINTER IN VAIL (2020)

On the same day professional event planner Chelsea Whitmore (Lacey Chabert)

inherits a chalet from her uncle in Vail, Colorado, she learns that the promotion that she was expecting has gone to a new hire, so she quits her job and moves to the picturesque mountain resort.

In Vail she finds her mutual attractions of handsome architect Owen (Tyler Hynes), the charm of Old Vail, and a project to introduce a Strudelfest.

But will the big City drag her back from the comforting country idyll and a blossoming love.

Architect Ava Jensen (Katie Cassidy) is invited to Friørland by her Uncle Karl (Charlie Ebbs) to assist him with the completion of the Royal Ice Hotel for the King and Queen of Friørland (Simon Phillips and Pip Dwyer) in time for the Christmas Ball.

Ava knows that it’s the opportunity of a lifetime and she needs to keep focused  but she soon finds herself swept up in a surprise whirlwind romance with Prince Henry (Stephen Huszar).

Much to the chagrin of Brigitta (Angela Besharah) who has been pushing her daughter Sigrid

(Kathryn Kohut) into the Princes orbit aided by Deputy Von Trier (Glenn Edward Gyorffy).

Though the couple do have the support of household member Maria (Alice Hamid), so will romance be the victor?

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR (2022)

Grandma Margret (Ann-Margret) recounts the story to her granddaughter Lucy (Elle Graper) of the time in 1958, when her younger self Maggie Bingham (Ginna Claire Mason) left her privileged family in Philadelphia, putting her high-society wedding plans on hold.

She took herself off to New York City,  on the pretext of staying with family while wedding shopping, when in fact she was there to make her secret dream come true by dancing live on stage in the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall.

She just wanted to perform for one season before returning to Philadelphia to resume the life her parents (Carolyn McCormick and Byron Jennings) have planned for her and marriage Maxwell (Torsten Johnson).

But in New York, she experiences things she has never experienced before, like a sense of independence, camaraderie with her fellow Rockettes, Sofia (Sara Gallo), Janet (Larissa Schmitz) and Alice (Tiffany Denise Hobbs) and most significant of all Maggie learns what it means truly to be in love when she meets John Slater (Derek Klena) a feeling she had never felt before.

However they are from different Cities and different worlds, so can they have a future together?

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS COMES TO WILLOW CREEK (1987)

 

The town of Willow Creek, Alaska, is on its knees following the closure of the cannery and are looking forward to a grim Christmas so California based Alaskan businessman Al (Hoyt Axton) plans to drive a truck load of Christmas joy from sunny cal.

However after he is taken ill on the eve of the trip, feuding truck-driving brothers Ray and Pete are forced together to take on the job along with Pete’s delinquent son Michael (Zachary Ansley).

To make things worse, along the way they run into Jessie (Kim Delaney) with whom they both have history, and she’s pregnant.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE ANGEL OF PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE (1996)

Two weeks before Christmas, unemployed Electrician Angus Feagan (Robert Urich) leaves his family in Detroit because he has heard there is work in Kansas City but when he gets there, he and the other men find that all the positions have been filled, and a fight breaks out he fleas the scene to avoid trouble but is arrested for the crime he didn't commit.

His three children Bernice, Lilly and Jack (Tegan Moss, Britt Irvin and Alexander Pollock) take an adventurous journey to Washington to enlist the help of President Hoover (Thomas Peacocke) and meet an array of colourful characters enroute to the White House with their mother Annie Feagan (Diana Scarwid) in hot pursuit.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – MRS. SANTA CLAUS (1996)

 

It’s a week before Christmas Mrs. Claus (Angela Lansbury) feels neglected by her husband (Charles Durning) during the pre-Christmas rush.

So she has Arvo (Michael Jeter) prepare the sleigh and reindeer so she could take it out  for a drive around the world.

However due to bad weather she ends up stranded in Manhattan's Lower East Side in the midst the multicultural New York in 1910.

She first meets Marcello Damaroco (David Norona) at the livery stables where the reindeer are housed and he introduces her to Mrs. Lowenstein (Rosalind Harris) and her daughter Sadie (Debra Wiseman).

She gets a job working for an evil toymaker Augustus P. Tavish (Terrence Mann) along with Nora Kilkenny (Lynsey Bartilson) and between them they bring Tavish Toys to a standstill.

But will he exact his revenge by preventing Mrs Claus from leaving.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – SANTA’S SECOND WIFE (2022)

After Mrs. Jessica Claus (Chelsea Gilson) divorces Nick 'Santa' Claus

(Jason Frederick) after 1720 years of marriage, they instantly returns to his original 40-year-old selves.

A month later head Elf Kingston (John Romanski) persuades Nick to sign up on MerryMatches.com so he can meet someone he can grow old with.

Following a disastrous series of dates with unsuitable partners he wants to give up but Elf Dakota

(Kerri Louise) urges him to try one more date on Valentines Day which also went sideways and ends up meeting Neve Pine (Sara Pardo Fishburn) and they are both smitten.

But as their relationship blossoms Jessica starts to get jealous and tries to sabotage it, so will she succeed or will love win the day.
