THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS OVERTIME (2024)

Noel (Meghan Carrasquillo) is an unemployed actress who is offered an audition for a commercial on Christmas Eve at an Advertising Agency which suits her as it gives her an excuse to not go home for Christmas.

Her first meetings with the head of the agency, Robert (Adam Brudnicki), one at a coffee shop and the other at the audition, are quite frosty but later after she returns to the office to pick up her bag he offers her a job to help convince his Christmas-obsessed staff to return to the office to finish an ad campaign on Christmas Eve.

While wrangling the staff they see different sides to one another and  the lonely advertising executive, and the actress fall in love.

Following the arrival of her younger sister Chelsey (Marnie Mahannah) Elara’s holiday season gets another jolt when her sister conceives a 12 Dares of Christmas challenge which has Elara and Gabriel scrambling around town to make sure the exchange program actually happens with predictable results.

In a small town, two rival toy shops vie for each other’s customers, Connie Forrester (Melissa Joan Hart) and her brother Randy (Dan Amboyer) run one and Will DiNova (Mario Lopez) runs the other and there is no love lost between them.

But unscrupulous toy magnate Roy Barnes (Billy Gardell) opens a super store in town, and the two rivals have to reluctantly join forces to defeat him.

Slowly as they battle against the interloper Connie and Will, begin to thaw and they both discover that there is more to life than running a toy store.

But they aren’t the only targets of cupid’s festive arrows, Connie’s mum Pam (Beth Broderick) and café/bar owner Joe Haggarty (Brian Dennehy), also feel loves sweet sting, and Randy finally succumbs to the advances of Joe’s waitress Francine (Tara Strong).

Meanwhile, in real life, Libby takes on a catering side-gig for an engagement party for Peter's brother Gary (Rhys Cawley), but under the business name ELM, so neither of them realises they are already conversing with each other online.

Then while their online personas lunge and parry and their Real-Life exchanges reveal their hopes and dreams, Christmas Cupid strikes, but what will happen to their relationship when they learn the truth?

Singer/songwriter, Maggie McKenzie (Mallory Jansen) is struggling to make her mark because she feels she can't compete in a tech-driven music world.

So after being dropped from opening for a band on tour she returns home to help her parents on their Christmas Tree farm where she meets Archer Donovan (Dan Jeannotte) who owns the very hi-tech company that Maggie despises, who has returned to town to relive the only great Christmas he had ever experienced, when he was a boy of seven.

Despite a frosty beginning they eventually find mutual ground where she helps him rediscover Christmas and he helps her get her career back on track, but will mutual ground lead to shared feelings and romance?
