THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS, LOVE AND FUDGE (2024)

 

After a difficult year Pastry Chef Amanda (Erin Karpluk) has her sights set on winning the Big Holiday Pastry Show but after hearing the brief decides to go back to her hometown of Paisley to recapture some of her old childhood memories.

She ends up teaming up with entrepreneur Simon (Christopher Russell) to recreate his Aunt Jackie’s (Janet Anderson) famous “Joy to the World” fudge recipe while she is on vacation.

As its Christmas while they race against time, holiday love begins to bloom between the unlikely pair.

Business executive Kate (Sarah Jane Duncan) reluctantly returns home for the holidays, after being guilt tripped by her colleague Holly (Cherlsea Marie) as it’s the first Christmas since her Dad died.

Once she is home her mum (Gillian Broderick) engineers a meeting between Kate and her childhood sweetheart Matt (Arthur Sylense) at the Christmas Tree lot and despite her resistance sparks fly.

And when she agrees to help out with his ranch, she begins to fall in love all over again and she faced with a difficult decision on whether to return to the city and her career or follow her heart.

Noel (Meghan Carrasquillo) is an unemployed actress who is offered an audition for a commercial on Christmas Eve at an Advertising Agency which suits her as it gives her an excuse to not go home for Christmas.

Her first meetings with the head of the agency, Robert (Adam Brudnicki), one at a coffee shop and the other at the audition, are quite frosty but later after she returns to the office to pick up her bag he offers her a job to help convince his Christmas-obsessed staff to return to the office to finish an ad campaign on Christmas Eve.

While wrangling the staff they see different sides to one another and  the lonely advertising executive, and the actress fall in love.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – 12 DARES OF CHRISTMAS (2023)

 

School teacher Elara (Brittany Underwood) is trying to get an exchange program approved between Ashby Falls and St Noel in France and is expecting her French counterpart Gabriel (Sean Yves Lessard) to help with the presentation.

But after his arrival he tells her he has bought the tickets for his students, and they are arriving a year early.

Following the arrival of her younger sister Chelsey (Marnie Mahannah) Elara’s holiday season gets another jolt when her sister conceives a 12 Dares of Christmas challenge which has Elara and Gabriel scrambling around town to make sure the exchange program actually happens with predictable results.

In a small town, two rival toy shops vie for each other’s customers, Connie Forrester (Melissa Joan Hart) and her brother Randy (Dan Amboyer) run one and Will DiNova (Mario Lopez) runs the other and there is no love lost between them.

But unscrupulous toy magnate Roy Barnes (Billy Gardell) opens a super store in town, and the two rivals have to reluctantly join forces to defeat him.

Slowly as they battle against the interloper Connie and Will, begin to thaw and they both discover that there is more to life than running a toy store.

But they aren’t the only targets of cupid’s festive arrows, Connie’s mum Pam (Beth Broderick) and café/bar owner Joe Haggarty (Brian Dennehy), also feel loves sweet sting, and Randy finally succumbs to the advances of Joe’s waitress Francine (Tara Strong).

While unpacking, Faith finds a full-length white evening dress and persuades Neve to try it on.   

Meanwhile newly arrived guest Prince James Winter (Steve Byers) of Genova meets Neve’s daughter Prim (Holly de Barros) who drops her pageant script.

When he follows her to return it, he sees Neve in the white dress and mistakes her for a wealthy guest and they end up collaborating on the pageant and fall in love but what will happen when he finds out the truth?
