THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – OUR CHRISTMAS MURAL (2023)

 

After learning she is likely to lose her job as a New York Gallery of Young Artists in the New Year, widowed Olivia Carver (Alex Paxton-Beesley) and her adolescent son Parker (Viggo Hanvelt) go home to her small hometown of Wellington to spend Christmas with her parents.

Olivia is also an artist in her own right but has a severe case of artistic block and to help, her mother Betty (Kathleen Laskey) secretly enters her into a Christmas mural contest, and wins.

Unfortunately she has to produce a mural on a prominent exterior wall in town and she’s still blocked.

With the help of Will Campbell (Dan Jeannotte), local teacher and the contest runner-up, by offering her a second pair of creative eyes and she finds her inspiration.

The question is, as they start to fall for each other, will he also help her conquer her romantic block.

Adeline (Adie) Wilson (Melissa Melottey) is the author of a book about the best way to plan the perfect Christmas and is on a book signing tour, terminating at an old fashioned Bookshop owed by Garth Bowman (Chris Connell) who is the polar opposite of Adie’s meticulous planning with his reliance on spontaneity.

While she is there, much to the amusement of his sister Melanie (Roselie Williamson) and daughter Luna (Selena Goosney), a competition ensues between them to prove who has the better holiday style, and news of the contest goes viral, as they experience each other’s points of view they fins the true Christmas spirit and romance along the way.

Following their engagement, Riley Stevenson (Jennifer Freeman) and Prince Mandla Amitu (Thapelo Mokoena) settled down to life in Los Angeles.

But then her Aunt Gina (Trisha Mann) and Uncle Ray (Tony Grant) put on a Christmas Eve engagement party in Glasgow, Kentucky, which will facilitate an opportunity for Queen Nobantu (Abena Ayivor) and King Chidike (Sello Maake Ka-Ncube) to meet Riley’s family for the first time.

What could possibly go wrong?

Prince Christopher (Robert Adamson) of St Monica wants to briefly escape his royal life to experience Christmas in a different country, so he travels to New York with his chaperone Malcolm (Butch Klein).

While he’s exploring the city he meets charitable non-profit founder Julia (Jenna Michno) at her charity and introduces himself as Chris and then begins volunteering with Julia helping families in need while in the City.

The more time they spend together they develop feelings for each other, both unexpected and welcome in equal measure, a real Christmas gift.

But what will happen when the truth comes out?

Blair Birch (Janel Parrish) and Josh Cannon (Parker Young) have been bitter rivals since Basic training at Quantico, seemingly continuing a feud began by their fathers Richard Birch (Peter Jacobson) and Cliff Cannon (Scott Reeves).

Six years later they both end up on the same base and immediately get into an argument with messy consequences, and are both assigned to Christmas Duty as a punishment for 24 hours.

They plan a quiet duty but they are forced to team up for a special mission when a snowstorm prevents all the Christmas presents from reaching the base.

They must put their differences aside in order to work together to save Christmas for the children and save their relationship along the way.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A NEWPORT CHRISTMAS (2025)

 

In 1905 spirited and charitable Rhode Island socialite Ella (Ginna Claire Mason) dreams of using her wealth to help the less fortunate in Newport.

However after her father tells her that he intends to announce her engagement at the approaching Christmas Eve Ball to a man she has never met, she is angry so goes out in her sailboat to clear her head.

As a comet shoots across the night sky, she wishes for a different life and to feel true love, then she is shocked to suddenly find she is no longer alone in the boat because Nick (Wes Brown) is at the helm.

An argument ensues over ownership of the vessel until they reach dryland when she realises, she is in fact in Newport in the year 2025.

Nick is a local historian and works at her old family home, which is now a museum but as she learns about her legacy and experiences glimpses of the modern world she grows close to Nick and finally knows how true love feels.

But she must travel back in time to her past when the Comet reappears on Christmas Eve because every day, she spends in 2025 erases more of her from history.

So is her newfound love to be cruelly snatched away from her or is there something more surprising awaiting her at home?  

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A KELLER CHRISTMAS VACATION (2025)

 

The three Keller siblings, each dealing with personal issues, Dylan Cal and Emory (Jonathan Bennett, Brandon Routh and Eden Sher) are summoned to Europe by their parents, Anne and Ben (Laurel Lefkow and Nigel Whitmey) for a river cruise down the Danube from Germany, through Salzburg, to Vienna.

They are reluctant to accept as they have grown apart and the thought of spending ten days together makes them cringe but they agree because that's what families do, but fear the worst only to find unexpected fun, romance and joy along the way.
