Maddie Finley (Lori Loughlin) has just sold the highly successful New York based company she built from the ground, Madd Shoes, and finds she has no idea what is next in her life.
So, she accepts the
invitation of her mother, Peg (Gwynyth Walsh) to return home to
her small hometown of Claremont for an extended Christmas.
Which would be the
longest time in Claremont since she moved to New York seventeen years earlier,
and relationships are strained with those she left behind, not least her old
high school sweetheart Carter (Victor Webster), who it seems she cannot avoid
running into, and tensions quickly arise.
However, when forced to put together a Christmas dance for the local high school, Carter and Maddie find themselves putting their differences aside and rediscover what made them fall in love all those years before.
