Isabelle Williams (Tatyana Ali) is a successful songwriter in New York but her inspiration has dried up so her boss persuades her to return to her hometown to write music for the annual Christmas Eve Pageant, once there she realises that she has to work with her old flame Michael Hill (Cornelius Smith Jr) who is the director.
Every year, when they were high school sweetheart Belle and Mike rocked the Christmas Eve Pageant with a sweet Christmas duet.
However, after graduation, Isabelle left to study at Juilliard in New York, leaving Mike behind.
They are both shocked to learn that they will be working together and wonder if they can put the past behind them and reunite on stage for another show-stopping duet.
