This is the story
about a forming friendship between an elderly nun, Sister Anthony (Julie
Harris), and head gardener at New York's Rockefeller Centre, Richard Reilly
(Andrew McCarthy).
They meet when he
wants to fell a tree that she's been growing for decades and move it to New
York for display at Christmas.
Over the months long
forgotten memories of her past come to the fore as she reveals her relationship
to “Tree” and Richard slowly comes to realised that he is in love with his
assistant Beth (Trini Alvarado).
The story culminates at the lighting of the tree with a final revelation.
