In this fourth Animated adventure, due to the evil deeds of the Snow Queen (Samia Mounts) King Harald (Marc Thompson) finds a way to ban all the magic from the world which banishes all the possessors of magic powers and traps them in mirrorlands.

The only one who can stop the King and release the banished is Gerda (Laurie Hymes) because although she possesses powers of her own, her “magic” is her faith in kindness and friendship.

On Christmas Eve in Wales, young Thomas (Mathonwy Reeves) is naturally excited about Christmas but is disappointed due to the weather as it was raining instead of snowing.

As a result in order to cheer him up, his grandfather (Denholm Elliott) gives him an old snow globe as an early Christmas present and begins to regale him with stories about his childhood Christmases.

Thomas enjoys them greatly and keeps asking his grandfather for more because he doesn't want to go to bed but his parents finally insist that he goes to bed.

Once Thomas is in bed, he lies in bed listening to his family singing carols downstairs until he finally falls asleep.

At the end of the evening when his grandfather opens the bedroom window and sees falling snowflakes he smiles.
