Pat Keeley (Damian McGinty) was raised in an orphanage in Derry, Northern Ireland, and when he left as a young man he worked on the transatlantic cruise ships for a few years until he disembarked in New York and got a job at a bar owned by a mob boss Joe O'Brian (John Rhys-Davies).
Then
at Christmas he is asked to deliver two mysterious briefcases to the Railway
Station, but after getting spooked by some police detectives he makes a run for
it and boards a bus for Santa Fe where he lodges with Mrs. Ortega (Soledad St.
Hilaire) and is employed by Emily Gresham (Heather Elizabeth Morris) as a
mall Santa and he becomes close to her while hiding out from the police and the
mob under the watchful eyes of Santa Claus (Gary Farmer) and Alowishus (Pancho
Moler).
