Thirty-year-old Madison O'Hara (Alys Crocker) dreams of being a singer-songwriter but instead performs as a singing performer for her own busy event company.

As Christmas approaches, she is dressed as a singing Elf for Christmas parties with her best friend Cooper (David Pinard).

After breaking up with her successful though inattentive boyfriend Luke  (Ish Morris) she sits in the park waiting for Cooper to pick her up she has a conversation with Santa (Stephen Davis) about her perfect match, and he suggests that there's a perfectly “Un-Perfect” match in her life already.

Emily Strauss (Emily Kinney), of Strauss and Strauss events planners, which she runs with her mother Olive (Deanne Bray),is hired by shopping mall magnate Ed Mancini (Patrick Cassidy) who is hosting a Christmas Gala for his biggest investors.

He has just sacked his previous planning firm, because they couldn’t come up with the perfect Santa, so Emily heads to Santa Bootcamp run by the formidable Belle (Rita Moreno), to find the perfect Santa Claus but Belle makes her sign up for the coarse.

While she’s there she meets chef Aiden (Justin Gaston) and Belle keeps pushing them together and as the coarse goes on they are both forced to reevaluate their goals.

Grace is single and content with her life, she is in the friendzone with old schoolfriend Quinn (René Escobar Jr.), and is resigned to a single life, then she reunites with former love Ryan (Nick Bateman), a successful New York City financial advisor, back in town at Christmas to sell his grandmother’s old house.

Old feelings are rekindled as they work on the “Ribbons and Bows” charity event together, but will he change his plans for the future.

Laurel (Kellie Pickler) was born and bred in Memphis but is based in Chicago working for a bank as a business executive.

However she returns to her hometown with her daughter Emma (Claire Elizabeth Green) in time for Christmas as her boss (Ned Vaughn) sends her to Memphis to secure the takeover of one of the city's oldest family-owned banks.

While in town she reunites with old flame Clay, a local music promoter

The owner of Cypress bank, Mr Franklin (Tommy Cresswell) is reluctant to sign the deal as he is worried about redundancies, but her boss is a money man.

While in town she reunites with local music promoter and old flame Clay (Wes Brown) who she used to perform with ten years earlier.

Laurel tries to stay focused on work, but spending time with Clay reminiscing about the past, they even perform together and enjoy a holiday romance.

But when problems arise with the deal she's called back to Chicago, she has to choose whether to return or remain in Memphis and embrace her roots and secure a happy future.
