THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – BRINGING CHRISTMAS HOME (2023)

 

Retired Major Caroline Upton (Jill Wagner) is a professor of military history and Is approached by Russell Carlisle (Paul Greene) who owns and runs an antique store with his sister Jules (Jess Brown).

Among a new batch of stock at the store Russell finds the WWII uniform of a highly decorated soldier with love letters left in its pockets.

So Caroline and Russell team up to solve the mystery and return the uniform to the rightful owners family, with the help of Jules and Intelligence officer Alton Bush (Simon Arblaster).

But while they unravel the soldiers love story, they manage to fall in lover themselves.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CATERING CHRISTMAS (2022)

 

Molly Frost (Merritt Patterson) is struggling to get her new catering business off the ground when she lands the most prestigious event of the year in their corner of  New Hampshire, the Harrison Foundation Gala.

The head of the foundation is Jean Harrison (Rosemary Dunsmore) but very much  wants her nephew Carson (Daniel Lissing) to take over but he is an event photographer home for the Gala.

Jean puts Carson and Molly together to organize the gala dinner, and Molly helps Carson see what the Harrison foundation really means to the local community, and the two grow close.

But with Carson planning to continue his photography career in the New Year will they have a future together?

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – FIVE MORE MINUTES (2021)

 Just before Chicago-based public-school art teacher Clara Bingham (Nikki Deloach) heads home to Fayetteville, North Carolina for the Christmas holidays she discovers she is being laid off and narrowly avoids a proposal from her boyfriend Blake (Jason McKinnon).

In Fayetteville her mother, Bonnie (Sherry Miller) has just inherited the family store, Candy Cane Confectionary, from Grandpa Jerry (Eric Keenleyside) and is struggling with the Christmas rush so Clara is a welcome sight as was a young man called Jay (Alexander Jones) who was and invaluable help in the store.

Clara is overwhelmed on her return because she was so close to her late Grandfather and wishes she had had five more minutes with him at Christmas and it seems to come true when she comes across his old journal when he was a young man and was in love with a girl called Martha.

At the same time she runs into her first love, Logan (David Haydn-Jones) and there are parallels between their history and Jerry and Martha.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE CHRISTMAS FLOWER (2018)

 

Poppy Benson (Nicky Whelan) is a struggling flower shop owner who at the suggestion of her friend and employee Natalie (Julie McNiven), enters a local holiday floral show which has a cash prize of $5000 which would be more than enough to keep her store afloat.

There are obviously obstacles in her path, firstly her van, which she calls Edna, constantly breaks down, but the largest of which is Blair Covington (Daphne Zuniga) who has won the contest for the previous 12 years.

However, the added complication to her winning is that she has started to fall for handsome Garrett Hurley (Miles Fisher) who turns out to be her direct competitor in the flower show as he works for Team Covington.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – LIGHTS, CAMERA, CHRISTMAS (2024)

 

Ivy Allen (Caprice Bourret) is a Christmas movie director for Holly Jolly TV who after another in a series of 'heartless' flops, decides to seek out her leading man Hunter Williams (Philip Boyd) from her debut hit movie “When you believe in Christmas”.

Unfortunately he left his acting career behind him and moved to Serbia with his wife and children where his wife passed away 5 years later.

When she tracks him down, he doesn’t want anything to do with his old life but despite that he shows her the wonders of a Serbian Christmas, and they both find something precious that they weren’t expecting to find.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE THURSDAY NIGHT CLUB (2022)

 

College friends, Jesse, Ava, Issy, Randy and Kevin (Amanda Talero, Mae Claire, Racquel Jean-Louis, Max Katz and Johan Gran) have a tradition of dining together in the Thursday Night Club.

Then one night Jesse’s father (Fidel Vicioso) joined them and recounted stories about their family’s tradition of helping others with acts of kindness, the friends all express admiration but all claim to be too busy to participate.

But on his way home that night he is killed in an accident and after the tragedy, Jesse’s four friends reevaluate their life choices and then restore Jesse’s holiday spirit through their acts of kindness.

Gloria Gaynor also stars.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – DOC HOLLY'S CHRISTMAS (2024)

 

Veterinarian graduate Holly (Sophie Bolen) is driving to Los Angeles to start a job with a plastic surgery practice when she decides to break her journey in Holly, Michigan for a lunch stop at the Coney Island Cafe.

After already feeling let down by the Waitress (Julie Smith Yolles) and her coffee selection she is then confronted at the till by the owner Niko (Nick Vlassopoulos) with his “cash only” policy and with no access to a cash machine she leaves the café without paying.

Then she is pulled over by the police and ends up in court for “Dine and Dash” where Judge/Mayor Narsh (Jerry Narsh) give her a week’s community service with charming local veterinarian Henry (Brian Boynton).

So will she mellow in the laid-back country setting or will her ambition drive her on to her destination.
