After a failed music career struggling single mom Hope Davis (Lisa Fenimore) lives in Los Angeles with her father Joe (Douglas K. Harrison) and daughter Lily Davis (Betsy Guiltner) while she gets back on her feet.

So she takes a temp job as caregiver to a feisty, aging movie star, Billie Mac (Claire Montgomery) and meets the chauffeur Kenneth Phillips (Charlie Wood) who is very protective of Billy Mac.

He and Hope team up to stop the scheming lawyer Richard (Steve Connor) and the stars agent Lawson (Greg White) from stealing her fortune and along the way they find love.

Belle Carter (Ash Tsai) is a dedicated non-profit leader, who heads up Bedford House, a community centre that is in desperate need of repairs and is struggling to fulfil their Christmas schedule and could even close altogether.

Help comes in the shape of a new ally Clara James (Julia Reilly), who is a force of nature, and Marine Sgt Will Mattinson (Marshall Williams) who is the love of her life.

So will Faith, friendship, love and Christmas Spirit save the day?

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – JOY TO THE WORLD (2025)

 

Successful Cookbook author and lifestyle guru Joy Edwards (Emmanuelle Chriqui) lives a very different life to the perfect home life and family that she portrays in her books.

But her world is turned upside down when a TV network decides to film Christmas Eve dinner, so she needs to create a family in three days.

So her best friend Max Rocklin (Chad Michael Murray) takes on the role of fake husband, her neighbours “Home Alone” children Hawk and Sabrina (Josh Reich and Taya Messier) become  their children, and her housekeeper Marta (Helene Lohan Cameron) and Postman Freddie (Guy Sprung) play her parents.

So will all go well, or will it blow up in her face on live TV.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – SOMEDAY AT CHRISTMAS (2022)

 

Chloe Bose (Jessica Lowndes) has ambitions to perform on Broadway but has to work as a clerk at Hollingsworth Gift Shop in New Jersey for a very unappreciative boss, Greta Berger (Tammy Isbell) and one morning she meets a divorced father, Jason Murphy (Paul Greene) who is a jingle writer.

The next time they meet outside the store they are approached by Cora Lawson (Gladys Knight) who wants them to resurrect the Holiday Lane Christmas Concert to re-energize the Christmas spirit in the neighbourhood.

Jason as the musical director and Chloe as the lead. Which would provide some much-needed exposure for her while Jason wants her to be part of it because he is falling for her, but she has a lot of auditions so holds back, especially with Jason.

Because Christmas marks the end of her five-year plan to succeed, or return “home” to Detroit and become a Dentist, forgoing her dreams of Broadway success and a potential relationship with her Mr. Right.
