One year after thirty-something sisters Cara and Amy Martin (Emily Alatalo and Vanessa Smythe) make Christmas wishes to find their soulmates Amy is marrying Phil (Glen Michael Grant).

Cara however didn’t find hers until she was travelling from Pittsburgh to New York and shared a ride with Chace (Andrew Bushell) and she is convinced that he is the one, so she invites him as her “plus one” to the wedding on Christmas Eve.

Disaster strikes however when she loses her phone containing his number, but the man instrumental in losing the phone Michael Williams (Corey Sevier) offers to help her track down her soulmate by frequenting all the obscure New York Christmas traditions and activities that she knows Chase will be attending.

However as Cara and Michael spend time together, they have emerging feelings for each other, so who will turn out to be her soulmate?

Having long lost her Christmas spirit she fights an uphill battle with the towns matriarch Ruth (Chantey Colet) to get approval to make the movie.

But in the end, she finds herself starring as the leading lady in her own real-life Christmas movie with the perfect leading man, with a little Christmas magic.

When she meets her daughter’s favourite teacher Ryan Tanner (Christopher Russell), who teaches science, she sees through the bah humbug charade and  believes he is hiding the secret that he is severely colour-blind.

So she takes it upon herself to discover the truth, and when he admits it to her, she enrols him on a trial to test some new technology, but he is reluctant, even though she believes may open up his world.

So she perseveres because a connection seems to be happening between them, so will she help bring colour into his life in time for Christmas while also brightening her life in the process, and making Bailey’s wish come true.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – ON THE TWELFTH DATE OF CHRISTMAS (2020)

 

In Chicago Jennifer Holloway (Mallory Jansen) and Aidan Walsh (Tyler Hynes) are both game creators and are both vying for a promotion, and although they are seemingly incompatible, they are teamed up to create a game to promote the Devonshire Hotel chain.

What they come up with is a romantic, city-wide scavenger hunt themed for the “12 Days of Christmas.”

But as Jennifer and Aidan work their way around the city composing all the clues, they find out that the game and the promotion are less important than the romance they have found along the way.

However when the head of the family Harold Sterling (Michael Paré) is found dead on Christmas morning, she finds herself leading a murder investigation  along with Deputy Neal (Harrison Russell),  putting her at odds with the arrogant, bickering and distraught family.

It soon becomes apparent that one of the assembled houseguests is the murderer, but question is was it one of the Sterling’s, Ellen, Troy or Michael (Caryn Richman, Rob Mayes, Randy Jay Burrell) or one of the others, Jan, Catherine the family lawyer Darren Caldwell (Jamie Bernadette, Katy Wilson, Jason-Shane Scott)?
