A country music performer, Ruby Diamond (Dolly Parton) meets an untimely demise one night after she leaves the club where she’s been performing, but she is told by Saint Peter (Roddy McDowall) that she cannot enter heaven until she performs a good deed back on earth.
And her assignment is
to bring together a workaholic widowed father
Ben Bartilson (Brian
Kerwin) and his children Sarah (Allison Mack) and Matthew (Eli Marienthal) who
have become distanced and Ruby finds an ally at Ben’s place of work in Allison
(Maria del Mar).
