If there is one thing
To make the senses tingle
It’s the coming of
The good Kris Kringle
On Christmas Eve
We wait and pray
For good Kris Kringle
To come our way
If there is one thing
To make the senses tingle
It’s the coming of
The good Kris Kringle
On Christmas Eve
We wait and pray
For good Kris Kringle
To come our way
I’m thinking of you
As I sit here feeling blue
I miss you every day
While you are away
But duty called you
And of course I knew
You would have to go
Away to fight the foe
So I’m thinking of you
As I sit here feeling blue
Alone on Christmas day
While you are far away
Christmas with the Karountzose’s is an endearing comedy Christmas drama, set in present-day “Chicago”, centred around a Greek family at their dinner table on Christmas Eve.
Michael (Robert Krantz) is a
workaholic by choice and has spent his entire life putting in the hours and has
had to sacrifice a lot of family time in order to provide for that family.
However, after hearing a rumour that he's getting a long-overdue
promotion, Michael invites his whole family over to celebrate, including his
Uncle Telly (also played by Robert
Krantz),
but when the promotion falls through, Michael must spend a long night with 14
Greeks around his dinner table, and while he deals with the most important
people in his life, he faces the prospect of failing to make the transition
from workaholic back into the loving husband and father he once was.
This is a very enjoyable film with great warmth and humour.
Christmas has come around
It’s another Christmas dear
Another special season
So full of Christmas cheer
Just another Christmas?
We had better not forget dear
It’s not just another Christmas
Something’s different this year
What’s special this Christmas?
You’ve surely not forgotten dear
A milestone is to be reached
That’s what’s special about this year
It’s a special Christmas isn’t it?
I see the penny has dropped dear
We must hang up baby's stocking
It’s his first Christmas this year
Dear Santa Claus
I have been good
I thought I’d mention that
So it’s understood
I don’t want
Something practical
Something useful
Nor educational
I don’t what
Something creative
Something arty
Or constructive
I don’t want
Something sporty
Something healthy
Not outdoorsy
What I want
Is an X-Box or a PS3
So I can escape
My boring reality
But I don’t want
You to bring me a Wii
It’s just too healthy
And drains my energy
December has come round again
Another Christmas time is near
That time when young and old
Noelle Collins (Beverley Mitchell) returns to Louisiana for Christmas, and immediately makes plans to resurrect the town's live nativity, a beloved tradition that her late mother used to put on.
However her
plans are complicated, when Noelle runs into her high school sweetheart, Nick
Russell (Stephen Colletti), a professional baseball star, also newly
returned home, though his return is due to a recent injury, and the old wounds
from their senior year break-up still stung.
Unfortunately,
they are pushed together even further when they learn their parents Peter Collins (Brian McNamara) and Mary Russell
(Melissa Gilbert) share an
attraction and want to be more than just friends, but when things begin to fall
apart with the live nativity, Nick and Noelle reluctantly team up to get it
back on track and as a result find themselves growing close, and rediscovering
the joy of Christmas.
