Having a birthday on Christmas Eve has meant that is has always been overshadowed by Christmas so for Leah Taylor (Emily Osment) her milestone 30th birthday was going to be no different, in fact as her brother Tom (Mike Dopud) was getting married that day as well so her birthday would be even more obscured as she was a bridesmaid.

On the plus side she is reunited with her brother's best friend since childhood, Drew Vaughn (Casey Deidrick), Tom’s best man and Leah’s girlhood crush.

Amidst all the wedding hustle they spend a lot of time together as they deal with all the obstacles before them as the day approaches, more time than they really need to as a romance develops between them.

In simple terms she sees him as the guy who broke her heart, and he sees her as the one who got away.

However, in spite of their unresolved issues they have to work together to get the job done which she records and uploads to her social media.
