A couple of months after Wayne Forest Rescue Services hero Buck Thompson (Victor Zinck Jr.) and geologist Jessica Alaway (Kaitlyn Leeb) met and fell in love while escaping a raging forest fire together are hoping to spend their first Thanksgiving and Christmas together.

However even before they sat down for Thanksgiving dinner his old friend Meg Rogers (Jennifer Mote) with Avalon Search and Rescue calls him up to help with a rescue and stays on to help with avalanche prevention.

So with Christmas fast approaching and Buck stranded in Avalon Jess resorts to going cross country with a dog team to spend Christmas with him.

Clint pays a visit to the ranch at the precise moment a cow is having trouble giving birth, so he helps to deliver the calf and although she is suspicious of him because he’s a McCree, a romance blossoms, but with that be enough in this engaging tribute to small towns, big dreams and the power of love.
