Successful
Boston attorney Mary Ross (Emily Rose) inherits a house in Plymouth, Massachusetts from her
deceased aunt and when she went to see the house with
her boyfriend Rick Allen (Adam Kaufman) they find local historian Everett Mather (Justin Bruening) in the garden taking core samples to prove it’s the
true sight of the very first Thanksgiving.
Mary doesn’t want anything to do with it and takes
legal action, but Rick just sees dollar signs which leads them to split up and
the situation over the property is made worse by local journalist Victoria
(Julia Jones).
As time goes on Mary becomes less hostile to the
idea as she gets to know Everett and his parents Abigail and Parker (Lindsay
Wagner and Bruce Boxleitner) culminating in a healing Thanksgiving dinner.
