An enjoyable and credible reworking of Charles Dickens well spun yarn of redemption.

This retelling of the story is of the owner of her own financial trading institution, Alexis Taylor (Toni Braxton), who is ruthless and driven and on Christmas Eve is visited by the ghost of her mother Lydia (Gloria Reuben).

She tells Carol that she has lost sight of the things that are truly important in life and takes her on a series of visitations to her past, present and future to show her the errors of her ways and discover the true spirit of Christmas and open herself up to love.

After being dumped by her boyfriend, Susanna Truitt (Megan Park) goes for a drive around the countryside of Saint Simons, Georgia, when she has a flat tyre, and a handsome man named Nate Kenneth (Jonathan Keltz) comes to her rescue and the two are instantly smitten.

After her father suffers a minor heart attack the family Garden Center is left shorthanded so Nate volunteers to help but in reality, he is Prince Nathaniel of Cambria who is on a last vacation before his coronation.

When the truth comes out Nate has to return to Cambria but Susanna and her sister Avery (Kayla Wallace) are invited to visit the kingdom, but for her and the King to be together they must overcome some obstacles in the shape of Lady Ginny (Marlie Collins) and the Queen (Sara Botsford).

It’s up to Nate to prove that the American girl is suitable to be his Royal bride.

Urban power broker Haley Hollis (Laur Allen) faces a career crisis in the City at the same time she is summoned home to Nashville, Tennessee, by her brother, Charles (Archie Kao), just prior to Christmas, in order to save their beloved from imminent repossession by the bank.

She hasn't been back to her family's ranch in years, and she is shocked when she sees her family struggling to keep the ranch going.

After the death of her parents she was raised by her grandmother, Meemaw (Lindsay Wagner), and seeing her struggle she feels compelled to stay and help.

When she is first introduced to ranch hand Kate (Amanda Righetti) sparks fly between them, but not in a good way initially, but they put their differences aside to save the ranch.

Reacquainting herself with the wilderness and the horses softened her heart and spending so much time with Kate she falls in love with the irresistible ranch-hand.

Private school student Kara ends up with Jessie’s grandmother Judy Wilkins (Shelley Long) at her son’s trailer whereas orphan Jessie is picked up in a limousine and is taken to the Mansion of Kara’s Grandparents Bob and Elsa Gentry (Christopher Rich and Bo Derek).

They are able to pull off the ruse as they are strangers to their grandparents who only know the basics details of their lives.

But as the week progresses, things get more and more complicated for both girls, so will their web of lies finally fall apart?

Or will there be an unexpected twist at the end?
