Urban power broker Haley Hollis (Laur Allen) faces a career crisis in the City at the same time she is summoned home to Nashville, Tennessee, by her brother, Charles (Archie Kao), just prior to Christmas, in order to save their beloved from imminent repossession by the bank.
She
hasn't been back to her family's ranch in years, and she is shocked when she
sees her family struggling to keep the ranch going.
After
the death of her parents she was raised by her grandmother, Meemaw (Lindsay
Wagner), and seeing her struggle she feels compelled to stay and help.
When
she is first introduced to ranch hand Kate (Amanda Righetti)
sparks fly between them, but not in a good way
initially, but they put their differences aside to save the ranch.
Reacquainting
herself with the wilderness and the horses softened her heart and spending so
much time with Kate she falls in love with the irresistible ranch-hand.
