An amusing reworking of Charles Dickens well spun yarn of redemption.
This
retelling of the story is about Karen (Michele Simms),
an entitled middle-aged woman whose demanding nature has alienated her neighbours
and family.
She
is a heartless grinch, racist, xenophobe, and homophobe, who hates everyone and
everything and is seemingly irredeemable, however after a series of instances
displaying her privilege and prejudice, she receives an “intervention” by some
unconventional spirits.
Karen
is visited in her Florida home on Christmas Eve. by the ghost of her former
boss Jackie Morley (Meghan Moroney).
She
tells Carol that she has lost sight of the things that are truly important in
life and that she will have further visitation to show her the errors of her
ways and save her from her own fate.
Her
first visitor is Gary, the Ghost of Christmas Past (Rolin E. Alexis), followed by Joy, the Ghost of
Christmas Present (Leyla Lawrence) and finally
Damon (Lee Karlinsky) Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.
Between
them they open her eyes to her behaviour and show her what she is missing out
on and help her discover the true spirit of Christmas and mend the rift between
her and her brother Todd (Clint Robinson).
