Widowed Paul Stevenson (Luke Perry) is the new general manager at the bank in the winter resort town of Heber Valley, Utah.
He
moves there with his two daughters, Esther and Kassie (Camrey Bagley Fox and
Ariana Bagley) fifteen and ten years old respectively.
Kassie
is afraid she won't make friends, but as music and singing are her passions, partly
because it’s one of the ways she stays connected to the memory of her musician mother,
so she joins the church choir, which also makes her friends.
At
the same time she finds an injured and abandoned German Shepard, and she and
Esther nurse him back to health and name him Scoot.
It
turns out that Scoot was a K9 who was injured on duty and left for dead by two
crooks who he recognizes in Heber Valley working at the bank and it’s up to
Scoot and the children to catch the crooks, recover the money and save
Christmas.
