THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE HOLIDAY SITTER (2022)

 

New York City Investment adviser Sam Dalton (Jonathan Bennett) has his Hawaiian Christmas plans disrupted when he receives a mayday call from his sister Kathleen Walker (Chelsea Hobbs) and her husband Nate (Matthew James Dowden) four days before Christmas.

They need an emergency babysitter for their children Miles and Dania (Everett Andres and DaMila Morgan) while they go out of town to collect the baby they are adopting.

Sam is a bit of a last choice for Kathleen and Nate as he isn’t much of a family man and doesn’t see the family very often despite being only a two-hour drive away in small town Braden and they’re not sure who will be looking after who.

In the end he is blackmailed into stepping up, but he doesn’t have a significant other due to his unsuccessful dating life.

Thankfully the neighbour Jason DeVito (George Krissa) is on hand to advise and guide and mutual attraction form between them as they are spending time together in a pseudo family life with kids.

But they need to overcome some differences if they are to have a future together.

But when her twin, Prince Gustav (Casey Manderson) and Prince Emile (Brendon Zub) arrive her royal identity is at risk of being exposed and that prospect is not improved when her father King Kristof (Mackenzie Gray) also appears.

Only Jesse knows the truth and as they work together an attraction develops but will he be able to keep her secret if the need arises to reveal that the Lodge has Royal patronage.

An animated version of Dr Seuss' classic tale about the Grinch Narrated by Pharrell Williams.

It tells the story of a cynical grumpy hermit who lives on the outskirts of Whoville where the Who’s live.

The Grinch (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) is a nasty green creature that hates Christmas, who goes on a mission to steal Christmas from the Who’s, however Little Cindy Lou Who (voiced by Cameron Seely) decides to befriend the Grinch and she manages to change his heart with her abundant holiday spirit.

 

The other voices are provided by the vocal talents of Rashida Jones, Tristan O'Hare, Kenan Thompson, Sam Lavagnino, Ramone Hamilton, Angela Lansbury, Scarlett Estevez and Michael Beattie.
