When
Talented London Chef Abby (Emily Tennant) realises that her head Chef boyfriend
has been using her, she dumps him and resigns.
During
dinner she declares that she needs a change, so her parents encourage her to
get away for a while to an Aunts apartment in Chicago for Christmas as she is
away.
Which
is where she meets Jack (Niall Matter), the architect in charge of renovating
the Brownstone building.
While
she is there she is persuaded by one of her neighbours, because of her culinary
background, to take on a side job on the Holiday Hotline, that provides advice
on cooking turkey, from Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve.
She
puts on an American accent and works under the pseudonym “Peggy” and connects
with a single dad, John, who needs to learn how to cook Christmas turkey for his
preteen daughter Jessica (Myla Volk).
What
neither of them realise is that they know each other as Abby and Jack.
