After failing to excel at the postal academy Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) is rewarded for his position as the worst student, he is sent to a frozen island above the Arctic Circle and becomes Smeerensburg's new postman.
However
the feuding locals barely exchange a word with each other so have little use
for a postman.
However
he does find kindred spirits in local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones), and reclusive toymaker Klaus (J.K. Simmons) and
the friendship returns love, joy and laughter to Smeerensburg.
Some
of the other voices in this animated Christmas comedy are provided by the vocal
talents of Will Sasso, Neda Margrethe Labba, Sergio Pablos, Norm MacDonald and
Joan Cusack.
