In a fancy restaurant in the city just before Christmas Cait Miller (Jessy Holtermann) is expecting a proposal from Steven (Jamie Craib) but he breaks up with her instead, so Cait decides to escape the city and surprise her father Phil (Rick Montgomery Jr) at the family Inn.
When
she arrives, she finds the Inn empty except for handyman Drew Patterson (James
Liddell) who was her old high school friend, and he is there to tackle the
mounting list of repairs because her father is preparing to sell up.
Fortunately
Cait's best friend Vic (Zina Ellis) is a wedding planner and one of her clients
Eric and Mia (LeJon Woods and Rachel Robyn Wagner) were looking for a
last-minute venue as the one they had booked fell through.
Cait
comes up with a plane with Drew's help, to host the couple for Christmas and
persuade them to have their wedding at the Inn.
However
Mia’s mother Maria (Jan Beatty) distrusts unmarried couples so Cait ups the
ante and says Drew was her husband much to his surprise and everything is going
well until Steven turns up wanting to reconcile and Cait has a life changing
decision to make.
