THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A MIDNIGHT KISS (2018)

 

After Gary and Lori Pearson (Cameron Bancroft and Sarah Troyer) retire before Christmas and leave the Pearson Party Planning company to their children Jake and Mia (Jason Cermak and Adelaide Kane).

Their first solo job is possibly the biggest job in their company's history when tech entrepreneur Kate Clark (Pauline Egan), a New Year's Eve party.

The only snag is that they only have one week to prepare, on top of that Jake breaks his leg on day one.

Reluctantly she has to accept the help of Jake’s visiting college buddy, David Campos (Carlos PenaVega), to help make the event happen, and they fall in love along the way.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – AN EVERGREEN CHRISTMAS (2019)

 

Author of one published novel, New Yorker Katie Connell (Maggie Lawson), is doing freelance work as she struggles for inspiration for book number two.

So, approaching the Christmas season she decides to take a short vacation to experience a little more of life outside of her normal environs which she hopes will make her a better writer.

Her destination is the Northern Vermont town of Evergreen, a town famed for its Christmas passion and very popular with holiday tourists and she is much impressed with what she sees and who.

Namely native Evergreenian Ben Baxter (Paul Greene) with whom she felt an immediate attraction which is not diminished by their subsequent encounters.

However, what starts as a vacation turns into a working holiday when her mother and business magazine editor Patti Connell (Laura Soltis) asks her to write a story for the Christmas edition.

Katie fails to find a business angle so decides to find a story about Evergreen and its Christmas traditions and the search for a long-lost time capsule.

In order to save Morgana University, Princess Camille (Jordana Largy) and friend Teodora (Ashley Alexander) travel to America with a proposal to create a college exchange program.

After meeting Angela (Bronwen Smith), the Dean, she teams up with Angela’s Professor brother Ben (Matthew MacCaull) to work on the proposal and along the way they uncover an insidious plot and fall in love.

On Christmas Eve in post war Belgium, a fighter pilot Freddie (Ben Radcliffe), unexpectedly finds himself on his way to England where he can spend Christmas at  home.

After taking off in his De Haviland Vampire Jet he heads for Holland and the North Sea, however once he’s over open water he suffers a catastrophic instrument failure and gets lost mid-flight.

With no landmarks, no radio, no compass and running out of fuel he needs a miracle to land safely.

And then a mysterious pilot (John Travolta) flying an RAF Dakota appears from nowhere and guides him down where he is greeted by F.L. Joe Marks (Steven Mackintosh) at a disused airfield and the mystery continues.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS AT THE HOLLY DAY INN (2023)

 

After an over-achieving executive, Emma Holly (Tamla Kari), misses out on the promotion she had set her sights on due to misogyny, she immediately resigns.

As its just before Christmas, she decides to go home to see her dad Ben Holly (Colin Baker) at his Country Inn to try and get her head straight.

On the way she has a flat tyre and is rescued by Oliver Perry (Kevin Leslie), who she believes is a travel writer, so sees him as an ally when she finds out the Inn is struggling and close to having to close the doors.

It turns out that Oliver has been sent by his property developer boss, Larry (Philip Martin Brown) to finalize a deal to purchase the Inn.

When he arrives at the Inn, he is mistaken for a regular guest and as time goes on a relationship develops between Emma and Oliver, while Ben gets close to local café owner Molly Hennings (Anita Dobson).

The only question is, will Emma be forgiving when the truth comes out about his real purpose.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HOMETOWN HOLIDAY (2018)

 

Sisters, Krista, and Ashley (Sarah Troyer and Samantha Gracie) are starting the New Year with their new florist business and Krista makes a resolution to be more selective with who she dates.

At a wedding in her hometown of Rust Creek during the summer, Krista meets an entertainment lawyer from LA, Ryan Rourke (Bradley Hamilton) who is in town to sign local rancher turned internet singing sensation to his agency.

They spend the day together and really hit it off, but they don’t meet up again until the run up to Christmas, and the attraction is as strong as the first time.

All they need to do to make it work is to stop holding onto things from their pasts and make some tough decisions if they really want to be together.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS ON MAIN STREET (2020)

 

Amelia Lewis and Vic Manning (Vanessa Lachey and Ryan McPartlin) are competing against each other to purchase a commercial property in White Oak, Nevada, Amelia,  wants it so she can open a year-round Christmas store, whereas Vic, wants to open a chocolate shop.

Having no luck getting a decision from the real-estate agent they independently decide to consult with the property owner directly and discover that Elder Dubois (Patrick Duffy) lives just an hour away in Castle Creek.

They arrive independently but are together when they meet Elder, he tells them he is unable to make a snap decision.

Being recently widowed and estranged from his young-adult daughter Marjorie (Eva La Dare) and having the onerous task of chairing the Castle Creek Commercial Centre’s annual Christmas decorating competition.

It was clear to them both that his heart wasn’t in it, so they offer to take on the job in his place to ease his burden, in return, Elder invites them to stay in his home.

Their initial motive was to ingratiate themselves in order to get a favourable decision, and they doubted their resolve after meeting the needy Castle Creek merchants, however after they overcame their suspicions about each other, they grew to enjoy  working on the decorating together, and in the process, Amelia and Vic start to fall for each other.
