After an over-achieving executive, Emma Holly (Tamla Kari), misses out on the promotion she had set her sights on due to misogyny, she immediately resigns.
As
its just before Christmas, she decides to go home to see her dad Ben Holly
(Colin Baker) at his Country Inn to try and get her
head straight.
On
the way she has a flat tyre and is rescued by Oliver
Perry
(Kevin Leslie), who she believes is a travel writer, so
sees him as an ally when she finds out the Inn is struggling and close to
having to close the doors.
It
turns out that Oliver has been sent by his property developer boss, Larry
(Philip Martin Brown) to finalize a deal to purchase
the Inn.
When
he arrives at the Inn, he is mistaken for a regular guest and as time goes on a
relationship develops between Emma and Oliver, while Ben gets close to local
café owner Molly Hennings (Anita Dobson).
The
only question is, will Emma be forgiving when the truth comes out about his
real purpose.
