City
based Executive Vice President Chris Ackerman (Joe Kurak) finds out that he has
inherited his grandfather’s house in the country where he had spent many happy
hours over the years.
But
his mother Renee Ackerman (Eliza Roberts) informs him that he is expected to
host the Christmas celebrations for the whole family and selected friends.
Unfortunately,
he is exceedingly busy at work and doesn’t really have the time and even if he did,
he lacked the required Christmas Spirit for the task, but his mother insisted
it had to be done.
Because
he couldn’t do it from long distance, he persuaded his boss Larry Link (Robert
Picardo) to allow him to work remotely and he hired a local event planner,
Meredith Block (Ashley Brinkman).
As
Merry sets about the decorations and party plans, she gradually wins him over
from his grinchy ways and helps him love Christmas again.
