After installation designer Emma McKenzie (Jill Winternitz) learns she has been passed over for the New Years project she is persuaded to travel to Scotland by her father Mike (Toby Rolt) who is researching their family history.
Almost
as soon as she arrives, she is persuaded to help the small village community
create a festive light display for the Christmas Village competition, despite
the reservations of the local Laird Duncan
Glenrothie
(Lewis Howden) who owns the village.
The
Laird reluctantly agrees providing his son Alex (Dominic Watters)
works alongside her, and as they do they unite to create seasonal magic to the
village and bring some romance into their lives.
