Recently separated parents Tracie and Rick (Schuyler Fisk and David Clayton Rogers) (Rogers) spend every other holiday with their young daughters Harper and Ava (Abby James Witherspoon and Skylar Olivia Flanagan). But after Thanksgiving the girls conspire and tell their parents that they only have only one thing on their wish lists for Christmas, and that is to spend Christmas with both Mom and Dad with their Grandparents, Mimi and Ed (Dee Wallace and Glenn Morshower) at their farmhouse with the rest of the family.
Tracie and Rick know that the temporary reunion will be no walk in the
park, but they agree for the sake of the children, but Mimi is less than keen
and fears that the Christmas gathering will help rekindle the lost romance
between her daughter and the man she loathes, which would make her
granddaughters' greatest Christmas wish come true.
